Unlicensed medium access without listen before talk for millimeter wave
Methods related to wireless communications systems and transmissions in an unlicensed radio frequency band of a shared spectrum are provided. A device determines whether one or more criteria are satisfied for accessing an unlicensed band of a shared spectrum without performing a listen-before-talk (LBT). The device transmits a communication signal in the unlicensed band without performing LBT in response to determining that the one or more criteria are satisfied.
Radio base station using distributed antenna and scheduling method
Provided is a wireless base station which uses distributed antennas and selects a combination of a plurality of wireless terminals and the distributed antennas of a wireless base station that performs multi-user transmission with respect to the plurality of wireless terminals in a multi-BSS wireless environment. The wireless base station includes: a scheduling unit that measures reception power (RSSI) from each wireless terminal at each of the distributed antennas and selects a combination of a plurality of wireless terminals and a plurality of antennas having approximately the same RSSIs in descending order for respective wireless terminals; and a transmission power control unit that sets minimum transmission power corresponding to the RSSI of the antenna when multi-user transmission is performed between the plurality of wireless terminals and the plurality of antennas combined by the scheduling unit.

The method includes operating a device with multiple antenna port groups for communication between the device and a network. The method includes transmitting, by the device, device capability information to the network. The device capability information includes a number of antenna port groups of the multiple antenna port groups, a number of antenna ports for each of the antenna port groups, a maximum number of supported spatial layers for each of the antenna port groups, or some combination thereof.
Wireless communication method and device, and network device
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a wireless communication method and device, and a network device. A wireless communication method includes: determining a target reception power value; performing control on at least one of a first transmission power or a second transmission power according to the target reception power value, thereby enabling a difference between a first reception power and a second reception power to be less than a preset power threshold. A wireless communication method includes: determining a reference time; performing control on at least one of a first transmission time or a second transmission time according to the reference time, thereby enabling a difference between a first reception time and a second reception time to be less than a preset time difference.
INDUSTRIAL WIRELESS SYSTEMS WITH CHANNEL SELECTION
Data acquired by numerous wireless sensors in a large industrial setting is communicated to the operations center via nodes in defined geographic cells where the signals from the sensors may be depowered to naturally attenuate below the perception of most other receiving nodes in the industrial system. It would be optimal that signals would attenuate sufficiently such that most signals in a cell are not discernible to receiving nodes in adjacent cells, but some sensors near the boundary of a cell will probably have to be set at sufficient power that the nearest adjacent receiving cell would necessarily perceive the signal. Data rejection protocols would exclude data from outside a cell and the advantage of the invention is that it minimizes the volume of errant signals leading to more reliable and robust data for operators.
Terminal apparatus, base station apparatus, and communication method
A terminal apparatus includes: a receiver configured to receive a plurality of reference signals from a base station apparatus in a cell; a measurement unit configured to measure at least one reference signal received power (RSRP) of at least one of the plurality of reference signals; and a calculating unit configured to average N highest ones of the at least one RSRP measured to obtain a reference RSRP of the cell.
Temporal power control system and method
Systems and methods are described for reducing processing time of messages that are repeatedly received, with increasing frequency, by a device (e.g., user equipment, base station etc.). For example, the systems and methods would have a base station decrease power, possibly to minimum power-out, per policy, if messages beyond the original are received and the time between those messages is decreasing. The decrease in time between messages indicates a more urgent need for the base station to power down. The systems and methods can be adapted for different types of messages (e.g., power-up, power-down, resource request, bandwidth request, service type, call type origination, quality-of-service request, application type, etc.). Each message type is associated with a policy (pre-determined or adaptive) that indicates the default behavior when the method detects a decrease in time between messages.
Method and apparatus for V2X communications
Embodiments disclosed herein provide various aspects that would allow for Vehicle to Everything (V2X) or peer-to-peer (P2P) or sidelink (SL) communications. In an embodiment, a communication device may include: a memory for storing computer-readable instructions; and processing circuitry, configured to process the instructions stored in the memory to: obtain a first path loss between the communication device and a base station, wherein the communication device is coupled to the base station; calculate a second path loss based on one or more sidelink reference signal received power (S-RSRP) indicators received by the communication device, wherein the S-RSRP indicators are received from one or more communication devices within a communication range of the communication device; and determine a transmit (Tx) power of the communication device based on the first path loss and the second path loss.
REAL-TIME RADIO ACCESS NETWORK ANALYTICS
Described are examples for providing radio access network (RAN) analytics for a virtualized base station. An analytics engine includes a memory storing one or more parameters or instructions for operating the virtualized RAN and at least one processor coupled to the memory. The analytics engine is configured to perform multiple protocol layers of RAN processing for at least one cell at the virtualized base station. The analytics engine is configured to determine a time series of real-time metrics at two or more layers of the multiple protocol layers for the at least one cell or a user equipment (UE) connected to the at least one cell. The analytics engine is configured to correlate a time series for each of the two or more layers to detect a network condition. The analytics engine is configured to modify a configuration of the at least one cell based on the detected network condition.
