Key fob transmission compensation

A method for adjusting a power setting of a key fob includes receiving an input signal from a sensor by a processor. The processor determines, based at least in part on the input from the sensor, that a person is holding the key fob. Based on the determination that the person is holding the key fob, the processor adjusts an initial power setting of the key fob by a predetermined amount.

WIRELESS ACCESS POINT MANAGING APPARATUS
20170311269 · 2017-10-26 ·

A wireless access point managing apparatus for achieving power savings by turning off access points that are not providing the high signal quality. The wireless access point determines whether a first signal quality level is at or above a threshold level, and if so, sends a power-up signal to a second access point, and determines whether the first signal quality level is higher or lower than a second quality level, i.e., the level from the second access point, transfers a streaming session to the second access point if the first signal quality level is lower than second signal quality level. If the first signal quality level is higher than the second signal quality level, the apparatus sends a power-down signal to the second access point.

METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT OVER DUAL CONNECTIVITY MOBILE NETWORKS

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting a first wireless signal associated with a first communication device that interferes with a second wireless signal associated with a second communication device. Further embodiments include identifying a first frequency band in which the first wireless signal is assigned, the first frequency band associated with a first mobile network, and identifying a second frequency band in which the second wireless signal is assigned, the second frequency band associated with a second mobile network. Additional embodiments can include detecting the first wireless signal is above a first power threshold, and providing instructions to a base station associated with the first communication device. The instructions indicate the base station to assign first wireless signal associated with the first communication device from the first frequency band to a third frequency band associated with the first mobile network. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Method and apparatus for controlling channel occupancy based on energy-level-coded quality of service indicia

An improved method for controlling how long a device will occupy a wireless channel, based on consideration of QoS class of communication on the channel. With respect to a communication that the device detects on the channel, the device could determine QoS class by detecting a sequence of energy levels in association with the detected communication, the sequence of energy levels indicating the QoS class. The disclosed method could be applied by a cellular base station to control how long the base station will provide cellular service on the channel, where the channel is also used for other communications such as WiFi communications for instance.

Method and apparatus for uplink power control in a multicarrier wireless communication system

The described apparatus and methods may include a controller configured to determine power required for at least one of a plurality of carriers, and generate at least one of a plurality of power control commands for at least one of the plurality of carriers based on the determination.

Method for reducing SAR value of mobile terminal, storage medium and mobile terminal

The invention discloses a method for reducing an SAR value of a mobile terminal, a storage medium and a mobile terminal. The method comprises: detecting and comparing signal strengths of an upper antenna and a lower antenna of the mobile terminal in real time during a call; and when it is detected that the signal strength of the upper antenna of the mobile terminal is greater than that of the lower antenna, switching the communication work of the mobile terminal to the upper antenna, and reducing the radio frequency transmitting power of the upper antenna. By adoption of the scheme, the SAR value of the mobile terminal can be reduced.

SENSING BANDWIDTH ADJUSTED ENERGY DETECTION THRESHOLDS

The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. In one aspect, the apparatus may determine an energy detection threshold of a reference bandwidth, the energy detection threshold being based on at least one of a transmit power or a power class. The apparatus may also measure an interference level of at least one signal. Additionally, the apparatus may adjust the energy detection threshold of the reference bandwidth based on a sensing bandwidth. The apparatus may also determine whether a transmission medium is available based on at least one of the adjusted energy detection threshold or the measured interference level of the at least one signal.

AUTOMATIC POWER CONFIGURATION FOR A POINT-TO-MULTIPOINT DISTRIBUTED RADIO ACCESS NETWORK

One embodiment is directed to a system to provide wireless service to user equipment. The system comprising a controller communicatively coupled to a core network and a plurality of radio points to transmit and receive radio frequency signals to and from the user equipment. Each of the radio points is associated with at least one antenna and is located remote from the controller. The plurality of radio points is communicatively coupled to the controller. The controller comprises at least one baseband modem to perform Layer-3, Layer-2, and Layer-1 processing for the air interface. The controller is configured to automatically control transmit power for the radio points based on operational measurements (OMs) for each radio point, wherein the OMs are based on radio resource control (RRC) messages received at the controller. In some implementations, the radio points are configured to perform at least some Layer-1 processing for the air interface.

Data transmission method and terminal device

The embodiment of the present disclosure relates to a data transmission method and a terminal device. The method includes if a terminal device determines, according to first configuration information, to perform a first type of transmission on a target transmission resource, and determines, according to second configuration information, to perform a second type of transmission on the target transmission resource, the terminal device determines whether the first type of transmission or the second type of transmission is a target type of transmission according to a first preset rule, wherein the first type of transmission is sidelink transmission between the terminal device and another terminal device, and the second type of transmission is uplink transmission or downlink transmission between the terminal device and a network device; and performing data transmission on the target transmission resource by using the target type of transmission.

Multi-tier quality of service wireless comfmunications networks

The present invention pertains to improved communication quality of service in communication networks. A customer may pay different fees for different tiers of service relating to voice quality and bandwidth access. Higher service tiers may guarantee that a specific vocoder or bit rate is used; or guarantee that communication is supported by parameters such as maximum allowed dropped calls rate, jitter and latency. Availability may be guaranteed per the contract between subscribers and service providers. Different tiers may be associated with customers' records for billing purposes. High end devices may be afforded higher voice quality by comparing a given device to a look up table indicating what service level is associated therewith. A calling device or a receiving device may ask the other device to change the vocoder or bit rate to ensure a higher quality call. The user may also change the quality level before or during a call.
