FULL-DUPLEX TECHNIQUES IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a base station operating in full-duplex mode may provide for reception of one or more higher priority transmissions using at least partially overlapping time-frequency resources as used for transmission of lower priority communications. In order to mitigate self-interference at the base station, a transmission power used for the overlapping time-frequency resources may be reduced. The base station may provide an indication of a subset of resources that have a reduced transmission power, an amount of the power reduction for the subset of resources, or both.

Method for preventing overheating of internal components of a mobile terminal

A method implemented on a mobile device that starts by receiving a temperature reading from a sensor included on the mobile device. The temperature reading is compared to a threshold temperature and a power cap is set when the temperature reading is greater than the threshold temperature. The power cap is a maximum transmission power of the mobile device. The method then determines if the mobile device is transmitting a critical message. The power cap is released for a period of time if the power cap is set and the mobile device is determined to be sending a critical message. Other embodiments are also described.

Communication network architectures, systems and methods for supporting a network of mobile nodes. As a non-limiting example, various aspects of this disclosure provide communication network architectures, systems, and methods for supporting a dynamically configurable communication network comprising a complex array of both static and moving communication nodes (e.g., the Internet of moving things). For example, a communication network implemented in accordance with various aspects of the present disclosure may support transmission power adaptation in a network of moving things comprising various fixed nodes, mobile nodes, and/or a combination thereof, which are selectable to achieve any of a variety of system goals.

Overtaking anticipation and proactive DTCH adjustment

Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, computer program products, and systems. Embodiments of the present invention can be used to, in response to response to anticipating a maneuver to be performed by a vehicle, adjust one or more 5G dedicated traffic channels (DTCH) over a radio bearer network. Embodiments of the present invention can be used to revert the one or more adjusted 5G DTCH after the maneuver is performed by the vehicle.

Conscientious power and rate adaptation in a CDMA manet

Determining maximum transmit power by a local node. A method includes identifying one-hop neighbor nodes of the local node in the mesh network. One or more threshold maximum changes in interference caused by the local node increasing its transmit power for each of the one-hop neighbor nodes of the local node are identified. A plurality of power change values are identified. Each power change value in the plurality of power change values corresponds to a power change at the local node that would cause one of the threshold maximum changes in interference to occur at a corresponding one-hop neighbor node of the local node. A lowest power change value from among the plurality of power change values is identified. As a result, power transmitted by the local node is increased, while limiting an increase in power transmitted by the local node to no more than the lowest power change value.

Method and apparatus for supporting transmission efficiency in a wireless communication system

A method for and apparatus for supporting transmission efficiency in a wireless communication system is provided. A wireless device determines a message type based on information, the message type indicating a plurality of transmission types; and performs adaptive measurement, data process, and power control according to the message type. Herein the information indicates one of the plurality of candidate message types that are predefined or are defined by a RRC message.

ADJUSTING COVERAGE AREA OF A RADIO USING SHARED SPECTRUM TO REDUCE INTERFERENCE TO OTHER USERS OF THE SHARED SPECTRUM

Techniques for optimizing antenna parameters of a radio configured to transmit on spectrum shared by incumbent user(s) are disclosed. The incumbent user has priority to use the shared spectrum over the radio. The antenna parameters are optimized to reduce interference to incumbent user(s) and/or other radios utilizing the shared spectrum whilst maintaining satisfactory coverage area.

TECHNIQUES FOR MANAGING A SHARED LOW NOISE AMPLIFIER AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL IN DUAL SIM DUAL ACTIVE DEPLOYMENTS

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may support multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) operation in dual SIM dual active (DSDA) deployments. In some aspects, the UE may receive, via an antenna of the UE, a first signal associated with a first network subscription on a first receive path of the antenna and a second signal associated with a second network subscription on a second receive path of the antenna. The UE may determine a signal strength for each of the first signal and the second signal, determine a first gain for the first receive path and a gain for a low noise amplifier (LNA) coupled with the antenna based on the signal strength of the first signal, and determine a gain for the second receive path based on the signal strength of the second signal and the gain of the LNA.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UPLINK TRANSMISSION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The present disclosure relates to mobile communication technology, and in particular, to a method for uplink transmission and apparatus thereof.

UPLINK CHANNEL TRANSMISSION IN DUAL CONNECTIVITY

Technology for dual connectivity is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) can identify a first physical channel that includes a first uplink control information (UCI) and a second physical channel that includes a second UCI. The UE can select a priority level for the first physical channel and a priority level for the second physical channel. The UE can apply power scaling to a first physical channel transmission or a second physical channel transmission if a total transmit power of the UE would exceed a specific value during a period of time. The UE can scale a transmit power for the second physical channel if the priority level for the first physical channel is higher than the priority level for the second physical channel depending on a type of first UCI and a type of second UCI.
