Impact of priority-specific beta factors on uplink power control

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for managing uplink power control in accordance with priority-specific beta factors. An example method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) generally includes determining a value of a beta factor based on a priority level of uplink control information (UCI) to be transmitted on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH); and transmitting the UCI on the PUSCH with transmit power determined based, at least in part, on the value of beta factor. Another example method performed by a UE generally includes deciding, when the UE is configured to perform demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling across PUSCH repetitions, whether to prioritize the DMRS bundling or transmission of UCI multiplexed in one of the PUSCH repetitions; and transmitting the PUSCH repetition with the multiplexed UCI in accordance with the decision.

A primary wireless access node wirelessly transmits reference signals at an initial reference signal power level. The primary wireless access node exchanges data with User Equipment (UEs) and exchanges the data with other network elements. The primary wireless access node exchanges signaling with secondary wireless access nodes. The secondary wireless access nodes exchange data between the UEs and the network elements responsive to the signaling. The primary wireless access node determines the amount of the secondary nodes and determines a new reference signal power level based on the amount of the secondary nodes. The primary wireless access node wirelessly transmits subsequent reference signals at the new reference power level.

TRANSMIT POWER OF PAGING EARLY INDICATION (PEI)
20230007600 · 2023-01-05 ·

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for determining a transmit power of a paging early indication (PEI) transmission. In particular, a user equipment (UE) receives a PEI from a base station indicating whether the UE is being paged during a paging occasion. The UE determines a transmit power of the PEI transmission. In some aspects, the UE determines the transmit power of the PEI transmission based on a configuration of the PEI provided to the UE, which may include an indication of the PEI transmission power as an absolute power value and/or a power offset value with respect to another transmission, signal, or channel. In some aspects, the transmit power of the PEI transmission is based on whether the PEI transmission is a beamformed transmission.

Power control techniques for uplink control information transmissions in wireless communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for a transmission of uplink control information (UCI) from a user equipment (UE) to a base station using uplink shared channel resources in the absence of other uplink shared channel data. Based in the UCI and uplink control parameters, the UE may determine an uplink power for transmission of the UCI based at least in part on a spectrum efficiency or a number of bits per resource element (BPRE) for the UCI.
