Disclosed is a radio communication system in which transmission parameters, such as MCS of MBSFN, the number of subframes, and a transmission power of a reserved cell, are adaptively output, based on a unicast traffic volume in a MBSFN area, a number of terminals, and a number of cells of the MBSFN area, so that a system throughput in the MBSFN area is maximized while satisfying an MBSFN quality requirement condition.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR MSI DECODING USING AN OFFLINE OR ONLINE MODE

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for offline and/or online mode decoding of multicast channel scheduling information (MSI). A method for wireless communications by a user Equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes receiving a Multicast Control Channel (MCCH) relating to at least one Physical Multicast Channel (PMCH), determining, for the PMCH, whether to decode MSI using an online mode or to decode the MSI using an offline mode, wherein the determination is based on one or more criteria, decoding the MSI in accordance with the determination. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Power control for transmissions to first and second base stations

A method including receiving at a user equipment first power information for transmitting to a first base station, receiving at the user equipment second power information for transmitting to a second base station, causing said user equipment to transmit to said first base station with a first power less than or equal to a first maximum power dependent on said first power information and causing said user equipment to transmit to said second base station with a second power less than or equal to a second maximum power dependent on said second power information, such that said first and second power does not exceed a total power allowed for said user equipment.

Transmit power control for physical random access channels

The invention relates to methods for adjusting the transmit power utilized by a mobile terminal for uplink transmissions, and to methods for adjusting the transmit power used by a mobile terminal for one or more RACH procedures. The invention is also providing apparatus and system for performing these methods, and computer readable media the instructions of which cause the apparatus and system to perform the methods described herein. In order to allow for adjusting the transmit power of uplink transmissions on uplink component carriers, the invention suggests introducing a power scaling for uplink PRACH transmissions performing RACH procedures on an uplink component carrier. The power scaling is proposed on the basis of a prioritization among multiple uplink transmissions or on the basis of the uplink component carriers on which RACH procedures are performed.

Method, Apparatus and Computer Program

A method comprising including receiving at a user equipment first power information for transmitting to a first base station, receiving at the user equipment second power information for transmitting to a second base station, causing said user equipment to transmit to said first base station with a first power less than or equal to a first maximum power dependent on said first power information and causing said user equipment to transmit to said second base station with a second power less than or equal to a second maximum power dependent on said second power information, such that said first and second power does not exceed a total power allowed for said user equipment

METHOD IMPLEMENTED IN MCE FOR PERFORMING DOWNLINK POWER CONTROL FOR MULTICAST OR BROADCAST SERVICE AND ASSOCIATED MCE
20170164302 · 2017-06-08 ·

The present disclosure provides a method implemented in an MCE for performing downlink power control for a multicast or broadcast service which is collectively provided from a number of radio base stations to a number of terminal devices. The method comprises collecting path-loss attenuations between the radio base stations and all or a subset of the terminal devices. The method further comprises calculating transmission powers for the radio base stations based on the collected path-loss attenuations, such that a sum of the transmission powers is minimized under a set of constraints on reception powers at said all or said subset of the terminal devices. Each of the radio base stations is notified of a corresponding one of the calculated transmission powers. The present disclosure also provides an MCE for performing downlink power control for a multicast or broadcast service.

A method for providing an alert notification to a user in a degraded location includes obtaining incoming call data indicating the mobile terminal is unable to establish a first communication link with a communication terminal for receiving an incoming call using voice over long term evolution. The method also includes providing the alert notification to a user associated with the mobile terminal based on the obtained incoming call data. The alert notification informs the user that the incoming call directed toward the mobile terminal is pending. The method also includes receiving the incoming call from the communication terminal after the mobile terminal moves away from the degraded location and establishes the first communication link with the communication terminal.

Method and Apparatus

A method includes determining a first transmission power for a first transmission from a user equipment and a second transmission power for a second transmission from the user equipment, the first and second transmission at least partially overlapping, the first and second transmission power being selected in dependence on at least one of which one or more channels are being transmitted and information on the at least one or more channels.
