PROGRAM FOR ADJUSTING CHANNEL INTERFERENCE BETWEEN ACCESS POINTS IN A WIRELESS NETWORK
The performance and ease of management of wireless communications environments is improved by a mechanism that enables access points (APs) to perform automatic channel selection. A wireless network can therefore include multiple APs, each of which will automatically choose a channel such that channel usage is optimized. Furthermore, APs can perform automatic power adjustment so that multiple APs can operate on the same channel while minimizing interference with each other. Wireless stations are load balanced across APs so that user bandwidth is optimized. A movement detection scheme provides seamless roaming of stations between APs.
Method For Managing Data Transmission Power in Mobile Cellular Networks
A method manages sub-frame data transmission in a cellular network including a macro node and at least one small node associated therewith. The method includes at a macro node side: based on channel quality information from user equipment associated with the macro node, grouping the user equipment into a first group that can be served at a macro node first transmission power and a second group that has to be served at a macro node second transmission power higher than the macro node first transmission power, and determining a sub-frames pattern including: a number of no-transmission sub-frames wherein data transmission is prevented at the macro node side, a number of limited-transmission sub-frames wherein data transmission is allowed at the macro node side at only the first transmission power, and a number of normal-transmission sub frames wherein data transmission is allowed at the macro node side at the second transmission power.
Controlling energy consumption of a wireless network node
An arrangement for controlling energy consumption of a network node associated with a cell includes a terminal activity monitor configured to detect active terminals served by the cell. A transmission controller is connected to the terminal activity monitor and is configured to restrict transmission downlink in the cell during time periods when there are no active terminals served by the cell. During these time periods transmission is restricted to intermittent transmission of information assisting active terminals not served by the cell in finding the cell.
METHOD FOR GENERATING SIGNAL FOR REDUCING INTERFERENCE IN USER-CENTRALIZED VIRTUAL CELL IN CLOUD WIRELESS CONNECTION NETWORK ENVIRONMENT, AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
A method for generating a signal for reducing interference in a user-centralized virtual cell, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: transmitting a reference signal to a terminal within a user-centralized virtual cell; receiving, from the terminal, a first channel measurement report message including channel information measured by the terminal on the basis of the reference signal; exchanging, with the first channel measurement report message, a second channel measurement report message that another base station within the user-centralized cell receives from another terminal other than the terminal, thereby sharing a channel measurement report message with the another base station; and generating a signal for reducing the interference on the basis of the first channel measurement report and the second channel measurement report message.
METHOD, COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY TANGIBLE COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A method performed by a communication apparatus according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes calculating (400, 530) a generation interval and transmit power of a basic safety message used for Vehicle-to-Vehicle, V2V, safety communication, based on a channel busy ratio which is a ratio of time during which a channel is busy and on vehicle density within a predetermined range, and transmitting (500), based on the generation interval and the transmit power, the basic safety message over a PC5 reference point specified in a technical specification of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project, 3GPP.
Conserving battery life during Bluetooth device localization
Various embodiments herein disclose improving battery life while determining a location of a Bluetooth device. A corresponding method comprises receiving an identifier for a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device to locate in an environment comprising a plurality of access points (APs). The method further comprises identifying a first AP of the plurality of APs communicating with the BLE device at a first power level. The method also comprises instructing, using the first AP, the BLE device to increase a transmission power level of the BLE device until a threshold number of APs of the plurality of APs, including the first AP, receive communications from the BLE device. The method additionally comprises receiving an RSSI value from each of the threshold number of APs based on the communications from the BLE device. The method also comprises computing a location of the BLE device in the environment based on the RSSI values.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING TRANSMISSION POWER IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method and apparatus are provided. The method of configuring a sidelink transmission power by a V2X user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system includes receiving, from a base station (BS), first parameter for sidelink link quality or second parameter for downlink link quality, configuring, the transmission power for at least one of a sidelink control channel or a sidelink data channel based on sidelink pathloss or downlink pathloss according to the receiving of the first parameter or the second parameter, and transmitting, to a receiving V2X UE, the sidelink control channel or the sidelink data channel based on the configured transmission power.
Neighboring Cell Load Information
A method including determining first information of a base station in regard to an area of shared coverage with a neighboring base station; and transmitting the determined first information from the base station. A method including receiving first information by a base station with regard to an area of shared coverage with a neighboring base station; determining, based at least partially upon the received first information.
Wireless communication methods, systems, and computer program products
A method, wireless device and computer program product for expanding the coverage of a cellular network. A wireless device (e.g., cellular telephone) is able to communicate with a base station in a cell of the cellular network over a non-cellular interface via another wireless device in a cell through the use of multi-hopping. A wireless device may request permission to communicate with the base station over a non-cellular interface via hopping off another wireless device when its signal strength is below a threshold. Alternatively, a wireless device may receive a request to communicate with the base station over a non-cellular interface via hopping off the wireless device that sent the request when that wireless device has excess capacity in its bandwidth with the base station.
Wireless communication system control of uplink carrier aggregation
A wireless relay wirelessly receives user data from User Equipment (UE) using a UE uplink Carrier Aggregation (CA) configuration. The wireless relay wirelessly transfers the user data using a relay uplink. The wireless relay determines available Power Headroom (PHR) for the relay uplink and translates the available PHR into a new UE uplink CA configuration. The wireless relay wirelessly receives additional user data from the UE using the new UE uplink CA configuration.
