Heat-not-burn device and method
A device and method for converting a consumable into an aerosol with high heat without burning the consumable by packaging the consumable containing an internal susceptor inside an encasement with an induction heating element wrapped around the consumable-containing package to heat the susceptor using a magnetic field generated by the induction heating element. Combustion of the consumable-containing package is minimized by limiting air inside the consumable-containing package by coating a plurality of holes in the encasement material that melts at high temperatures. The coating may also include a flavoring.
Multi-frequency controllers for inductive heating and associated systems and methods
The present technology is directed to multi-frequency controllers for inductive heating and associated systems and methods. The systems can be configured to precisely heat a module via a coil to a target temperature using oscillating, pulsed electrical signals associated with unique frequencies and/or capacitance values. Each unique frequency can correspond to heating the module to a particular depth, relative to an outer surface of the module. A first pulsed electrical signal having a first frequency can heat the module to a first depth, and a second pulsed electrical signal having a second frequency can heat the module to a second depth different than the first depth. The system can include a thermal sensor for measuring a temperature associated with at least one of the module or a fluid associated with the module. Based on the temperature, the system can adjust signal delivery parameters of the first and/or second electrical signals.
Induction Coil Assembly for Uterine Ablation and Method
A vapor delivery device includes an induction coil system. The induction coil system can include a coiled fluid tube, a coiled wire, a capsule between the coiled fluid tube and the wire, and a cooling fluid supply configured to force a cooling fluid through the capsule across the coiled wire. The induction coil system can include a closed loop ferrite core, a wire coiled around a first portion of the ferrite core, and a fluid tube coiled around a second portion of the ferrite core. A wire coil can be contained in a cartridge system removably coupleable to a disposable vapor delivery device. The system can include a fluid flow controller and induction power regulation to maintain a specific operating pressure range for vapor within a uterus or other bodily cavity, tract, or duct.
AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM WITH LEAKAGE PREVENTION
An aerosol-generating system is provided, including: a first air inlet and an air outlet; a liquid storage portion holding a liquid aerosol-forming substrate and having a liquid outlet and a storage portion air inlet; an airflow passage from the first air inlet to the air outlet past the liquid outlet; a wick in the airflow passage at a distance from the liquid outlet and to receive liquid from the liquid storage portion in response to a pressure drop in the airflow passage at the liquid outlet; and a first heating element to heat the liquid in the wick, and the airflow passage extending from the first air inlet to the air outlet past the storage portion air inlet and past the liquid outlet such that air enters the liquid storage portion via the storage portion air inlet and then travels therethrough and exits at the liquid outlet.
AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE

INDUCTION HEATING SYSTEM
An induction well includes a tank configured to store a substance, a first induction coil positioned around a first portion of the tank, a second induction coil positioned around a second portion of the tank, and a single power inverter coupled in parallel with the first induction coil and the second induction coil.
Superheating system for inertial impulse generation to disrupt vascular lesions
A catheter system for imparting pressure to induce fractures in a vascular lesion within or adjacent a vessel wall, includes a catheter and a superheating system. The catheter can advance to the vascular lesion. The catheter includes an elongate shaft and a balloon coupled to the elongate shaft. The balloon includes a balloon wall. The balloon moves between a collapsed configuration and a first expanded configuration suitable for anchoring the catheter in position relative to a treatment site. The superheating system can heat a balloon fluid within the balloon rapidly enough to achieve spontaneous vaporization of the balloon fluid and to generate inertial bubbles and acoustic pressure waves. The superheating system can include a first light guide extending along the elongate shaft. The first light guide is in optical communication with a light source at a proximal portion of the first light guide.
