Illumination control network
The present invention addresses the problem of providing illumination in a manner that is energy efficient and intelligent. In particular, the present invention uses distributed processing across a network of illuminators to control the illumination for a given environment. The network controls the illumination level and pattern in response to light, sound, and motion. The network may also be trained according to uploaded software behavior modules, and subsets of the network may be organized into groups for illumination control and maintenance reporting.

CONTROLLING A SET OF DEVICES BY A VOICE-CONTROLLED DEVICE
A method of controlling a set of devices (101, 102, 103, 104 and 105) is proposed. The method is performed by a voice-controll ed device (100). In response to receiving (S201) a first voice command of a user comprising a first reference to at least one device of the set of devices and a control command to be performed on the at least one device of the set of devices, the voice-controlled device presents (S202) an identifier in association with each of the at least one device of the set of devices. In response to receiving (S203) a second voice command from the user comprising a second reference to one or more of the identifiers, the voice-controlled device controls (S204) one or more of the at least one device of the set of devices which can be identified based on the second reference comprised in the second voice command to execute the control command comprised in the first voice command.

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR PASSIVE SOUND SENSING IN A LIGHTING IOT NETWORK
A system for evaluating a characteristic of a portion of a building space, such as a room, may be provided. The system includes pairs of speakers and microphones associated with detection areas and forming audio multipath transmission channels. The system includes a controller communicatively coupled to the speakers and the microphones. The controller is configured to: (1) select detection areas; (2) activate the microphones corresponding to the pairs associated with the selected detection areas to capture one or more audio samples; (3) select speakers based on a baseline channel response matrix and the activated microphones; (4) transmit command signals to the selected speakers; (5) determine a characteristic channel response matrix based on the audio samples and audio signals corresponding to the command signals; and (6) evaluate the characteristic of the portion of the building space based on the characteristic channel response matrix and the baseline channel response matrix.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING LAMP OF VEHICLE
A system and a method for controlling a lamp of a vehicle are provided, The system includes a voice recognition device to recognize a voice signal from a user, a voice analyzing device to analyze context of the recognized voice signal to determine a lamp device to be controlled, and to determine a control intent of the user with respect to the determined lamp device, and a controller to control the lamp device, based on the determined control intent of the user.

Light source device, medical observation system, illumination method, and computer readable recording medium
A light source device includes: light sources; a detector configured to detect light amounts; and a processor configured to: control the light sources to emit light beams by applying a pulse current with a pulse width larger than a predetermined pulse width to the light sources before the processor makes a shift to a strobe observation mode; set a pulse current value at which a ratio of the light amounts of the light beams emitted by the plurality of light sources becomes a predetermined ratio for the plurality of light sources based on a detection result detected by the detector under a state where the pulse current with the pulse width larger than the predetermined pulse width is applied to the plurality of light sources; and make the shift to the strobe observation mode while maintaining the pulse current value for realizing the predetermined ratio.
