BATTERY-POWERED RETROFIT REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE
A remote control device may be configured to be mounted over the toggle actuator of a light switch and to control a load control device via wireless communication. The remote control device may include a base portion and a rotating portion supported by the base portion so as to be rotatable about the base portion. The remote control device may include a control circuit and a wireless communication circuit. The control circuit may be operably coupled to the rotating portion and to the wireless communication circuit. The control circuit may be configured to translate a force applied to the rotating portion of the remote control device into a control signal and to cause the communication circuit to transmit the control signal to the load control device.
CONTROLLABLE LIGHT SOURCE
A controllable light source is provided that includes a load control circuit and an integrated lighting load. The controllable light source is configured to receive wirelessly communicated commands transmitted by a remote control device associated with the controllable light source, such as a rotary remote control device. The controllable light source may include an actuator for associating the controllable light source with the remote control device, such that the load control circuit is operable to adjust the intensity of the lighting load in response to wireless signals received from the remote control device. The controllable light source may support the actuator such that the actuator may be actuated when the controllable light source is installed in a fixture.
Lighting
Enhancements to ornamental or holiday lighting are disclosed including remote control ornamental illumination with color pallet control whereby a user can vary the color/intensity/appearance of an individual bulb or entire light string by selecting the electronic address of the bulb and selecting its attribute. Further disclosures include: motion responsive lights which respond to sensed movement, gesture controlled lights, adjustable white color/white led sets, connectable multi-function lights, controller to sequence lights to music or other input source, rotating projection led light/tree top/table top unit, and remote controlled sequencing icicle lights and ornament lighting system.
Ambient light monitoring in a lighting fixture
A lighting fixture employing a solid-state light source and an ambient light sensor is disclosed. The solid-state light source is placed within a light source housing and configured to emit light through a lens assembly that covers an opening into a mixing chamber provided within the light source housing. In one embodiment, the ambient light sensor is located within mixing chamber with the solid-state light source. In another embodiment, the ambient light sensor is located outside of the mixing chamber. In either embodiment, the ambient light sensor may be recessed within a waveguide, which aides in controlling the sensor distribution beam for the ambient light sensor. The sensor distribution beam essentially defines an area from which light reflected off of a task surface is accurately monitored via the ambient light sensor. The direction of the sensor distribution beam and the light emitted from the ambient light sensor may generally coincide.
Digital load control system providing power and communication via existing power wiring
A two-way load control system comprises a power device, such as a load control device for controlling an electrical load receiving power from an AC power source, and a controller adapted to be coupled in series between the source and the power device. The load control system may be installed without requiring any additional wires to be run, and is easily configured without the need for a computer or an advanced commissioning procedure. The power device receives both power and communication over two wires. The controller generates a phase-control voltage and transmits a forward digital message to the power device by encoding digital information in timing edges of the phase-control voltage. The power device transmits a reverse digital message to the controller via the power wiring.
ARRAY OF LED ARRAY LUMINAIRES
The present invention provides LED array systems with a control system for arrays of LED array luminaires that allows for display of images or light patterns across and array of luminaires over a low bandwidth control protocol.
Load control system for controlling electrical loads in response to state change information
A state change device may be electrically connected to a switched receptacle, or to both the switched and unswitched receptacles, of an outlet. The state change device may generate a change of state signal when power is applied to, or removed from, the switched receptacle. The state change device may wirelessly communicate the signal. The state change device may include a load control circuit that may be configured to control the amount of power delivered to an electrical load that is electrically connected to the state change device. The state change device may receive commands directed to the load control circuit. The state change device may be deployed in a load control system and may operate as a control entity, such that the state change device may issue commands to one or more load control devices, responsive to the application or removal of power at the switched receptacle.
Color temperature tuning
An advance control LED lighting system is disclosed. The lightings system includes LED light fixtures with sets of different white LED arrays that emit different output spectra. The system includes a control unit for adjusting relative intensities of light outputs from the different sets of white LED arrays as well as the combined intensity of light output from the different sets of white LED arrays to produce ranges combined output light intensities and the combined output light color temperatures. Preferably the control unit includes a wireless transmitter for receiving and processing input control signals from a remote control interface device, such as a smart-phone or computer. The system also includes sensors coupled to the control unit for automatically adjusting one or more of the combined output light intensity and the combined output light color temperature based on a measured or detected condition.
Load control device user interface and database management using near field communication (NFC)
An energy control network may include a number of load control devices, such as dimmer switches, multi-button selector switch, occupancy sensors, and remote controllers, among others. These load control devices may be configured for wireless communication. Other wireless devices, such as laptops, tablets, and smart cellular phones may be configured to communicate with the load control devices of the energy control network. The load control devices and the other wireless communication devices may also be configured for Near Field Communication (NFC). NFC may be used to provide a load control device with its initial default configuration and/or an application specific configuration. Also, NFC may be used to transfer a configuration from one load control device that may have become faulty, to a replacement load control device. And NFC may be used to provide and trigger commands that may cause a load control load device to operate in a predetermined manner.
