Hand wetted paper
10161085 · 2018-12-25 · ·

Dry, plied roll paper is transformed into hand wetted roll paper that may be used either dry, or selectively hand wetted using the device of the invention. The device is applied to the paper in liquid form, heated and cooled to form a plastic solid which becomes part of the paper. The device is then shaped into a container filled with an anti-bacterial cleaning agent, or other agent, and assembled on the paper between the top and bottom paper ply. The device is made on a modified roll-to-roll winding machine while the machine is in motion. This manufacturing method is more efficient than adding externally sourced batch-made wetting devices to paper. The hand wetted roll paper can be used as paper towels or toilet paper for dry and/or wet hygienic cleaning. The paper may have other properties depending on the agent used.

The present invention generally provides a towel wetting or pre-wetting device for the wetting of towels at the point of use. More specifically, the present invention provides for disposable towel pre-wetting devices which provide a point of use wetting for cleaning and disinfecting wipes or towels. Embodiments allow for activation of the towel pre-wetting device with a towel through the lid which temporarily unseals the bowl from the cap allowing fluid to be released from the reservoir to pre-wet a towel as it is extracted through the lid. Embodiments allow for the adjustment of the bowl relative to the cap which controls the volume of fluid to be released to wet the towel. The pre-wetting device is intended to be affixed to the top of a cylinder of towels. Thus the present invention solves the unmet need of providing for wet cleaning wipes or towels at the point of use.

NONWOVEN WIPES, CLEANING COMPOSITIONS, AND ASSOCIATED PACKAGING

A single-use wipe includes a nonwoven fabric, at least one pocket defined within the fabric, the at least one pocket configured to receive at least a portion of a hand of a user of the wipe, and one or more creases defining at least one fold, wherein the wipe is configured to be folded on the one or more creases prior to being inserted into a package. The package is configured to house a burst pod containing a quantity of a fluid such as a cleanser including, for example, glucose oxidase. Prior to removal of the wipe from the package, the burst pod can be ruptured, thereby at least partially saturating the wipe with the cleanser. The then at least partially saturate wipe can be removed from the package, unfolded and used.
