Waterproof ejection mechanism for a card connector
A waterproof mechanism includes a telescopic member; a thrusting member; and a sleeve. The telescopic member includes a retractable telescopic base, and an opening provided on an upper end of the telescopic base. The thrusting member includes a head portion and a rod portion having an outer diameter smaller than that of the head portion. The sleeve includes a cavity penetrating through both ends of the sleeve. The sleeve is sleeved on the rod portion of the thrusting member, a part of the thrusting member and a part of the sleeve are inserted into the opening of the telescopic base. The head portion of the thrusting member is held between the telescopic base and the sleeve, and an inner wall surface of an upper portion of the opening of the telescopic base and an outer wall surface of a lower portion of the sleeve are in a waterproof connection.
Ejectable Cassette, Guide Column, and Ejectable Cassette
An example ejectable cassette, guide column, and ejectable cassette system is provided. The ejectable cassette includes a housing including a proximal end, a distal end, a first side, and a second side. The ejectable cassette includes a first locking mechanism assembly at the first side of the housing. The first locking mechanism assembly includes a first locking tab slidably disposed along the first locking mechanism assembly. The first locking tab is biased towards the proximal end of the housing. The ejectable cassette includes a second locking mechanism assembly at the second side of the housing. The second locking mechanism assembly includes a second locking tab slidably disposed along the second locking mechanism assembly. The second locking tab is biased towards the distal end of the housing.
Card/chassis coupling system
A card/chassis coupling system includes a chassis defining a chassis housing with a chassis wall defining a card entrance to the chassis housing. The chassis wall engages a securing element on a card to secure it in the chassis housing. A card/chassis release device adjacent the card entrance includes a base in the chassis housing, and a card mover member and securing element release member that are each moveably coupled to the base and to an actuator member extending through the chassis wall. Movement of the actuator member into the chassis housing causes the securing element release member to move relative to the base to engage the securing element on the card and disengage it from the chassis wall, and causes the card mover member to move relative to the base to engage the card and move it through the card entrance and out of the chassis housing.
Card tray of electrical connector assembly having a front surface feature for increasing a withdrawn travel distance
A card connector assembly includes: an electrical connector including an insulative housing, a plurality of terminals secured to the insulative housing, a shell covering the insulative housing to form a receiving cavity, and an ejector having a pivot; and a card tray removably received in the receiving cavity, the card tray having a front surface, wherein the card tray has a protrusion at the front surface, and the pivot has an engaging portion for ejecting the card tray, the engaging portion having a recess for receiving the protrusion and an ejecting end for riding onto the protrusion.
Apparatus and Method for Controlled Ejection of an Open Compute Project Module from an Information Handling System
An information handling system includes a peripheral interface and a frame that is operable to receive an Open Compute Project (OCP) module. The frame includes a peripheral slot that provides an electrical communication between the OCP module and the peripheral interface when the OCP module is disposed at a first position. A lock controls the ejection of the OCP module from the first position to a second position, and disengages from the OCP module at the second position.
Electrical card connector
An electrical card connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts retained to the housing, a metallic shield attached to the housing and cooperating with the housing to form a receiving cavity for receiving therein an electrical card, and a card holding mechanism located beside the receiving cavity. The card holding mechanism includes a slider, a spring abutting against the slider and deformable in the front-to-back direction, and a resilient locking device. The locking device includes a securing part retained to the slider, a resilient arm extending from the securing part with a locking protrusion for engagement within a locking notch of the electrical card. The slider provides an abutment face. The free end of the locking arm is adapted to abut against the abutment face when the electrical card is inserted into or withdrawn from the receiving cavity to outwardly deflect the resilient arm.
RETENTION LATCH WITH SPRING MECHANISM
An embodiment of a latch apparatus for a circuit board comprises a first latch body with a retention mechanism for the circuit board, a second latch body with a coupling mechanism for a connector, and a spring mechanism mechanically coupled between the first latch body and the second latch body. Other embodiments are disclosed and claimed.
HIGH-CAPACITY COMPUTER MODULES
Computer modules that can have a high-capacity, can simplify the design of a computer system housing the modules, can utilize system resources in a highly configurable manner, can provide a variety of functionality, and can be readily inserted into, and removed from, a computer system.
Card tray opening/closing mechanism, card tray, mobile phone, and card tray opening/closing method
