The lockable cover assemblies can be configured to cover the mounting fasteners of one or more network devices or the lockable cover assemblies can be built into a mounting enclosure and lock each network device in the rack.

An apparatus for securing an electronic component within a server device is provided. The apparatus includes a support bracket configured to secure the apparatus within the server device. The apparatus also includes a fixed structure rotatably housed within the support bracket. Moreover, the apparatus can include a hook structure connected to the fixed structure, such that the hook structure and the fixed structure are configured to rotate between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The hook structure can include a notch element configured to secure a corresponding element on the electronic component.

The bracket component includes a first arm with a surface configured to fasten to a portion of a computer chassis. The portion of the computer chassis is proximate to a printed circuit board (PCB) expansion slot of the computer chassis. The bracket component includes a second arm positioned perpendicular to the first arm. The second arm has an inner surface facing the PCB expansion slot. The bracket component includes a board support pad affixed to the inner surface of the second arm. The board support pad has a flexible surface layer for abutting an edge of one or more PCBs that are inserted into the PCB expansion slot. The board support pad of the bracket component stabilizes the PCBs and reduces vibrations emanating from the computer chassis.

Card retention mechanism in an information handling system

A card riser for an information handling system includes a bottom surface, multiple connector slots in physical communication with the bottom surface, and a locking mechanism in physical communication with the bottom surface. Each connector slot is configured to receive a corresponding connector of a different one of multiple cards. When the locking mechanism is in an unlocked position, a different one of the cards is inserted within a different one of the connector slots. When the locking mechanism is in a locked position, the locking mechanism is placed in physical communication with each of the cards to securely hold the cards within the card riser.

A fluid distribution system is incorporated into a server chassis. Connector plates have fluid connectors designed to connect with fluid cooling receptacles on server boards. A linkage system can be manually manipulated to translate the connector plates so as to engage the electronics boards and connect the fluid connectors to the receptacle. A pair of main connectors connect to the rack's fluid manifold to circulate cooling fluid to cool devices mounted onto the server boards. A locking mechanism can be included to mechanically lock the chassis to the rack to prevent accidental dismount of the chassis from the rack. Also, an anchor mechanism may be provided to apply counter force when engaging the connector plates with the server boards so as to prevent accidental dismount of the server board by the moving connector plate.
