SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING MOVEMENT OF COMPONENTS IN A CHASSIS

A chassis for housing a computing device of an information handling system includes a receiving portion of an expansion card receiver that receives an expansion card and operably connects the expansion card to another component of the computing device while the expansion card is received by the receiving portion. The chassis further includes a management portion of the expansion card receiver that receives a force from a user and, in response to receiving the force: transitions the management portion from a first state to a second state. In the first state, a handle, that enables the expansion card to be removed from the chassis is disposed inside of the management portion and the expansion card receiver is locked to the chassis. In the second state, the handle is disposed outside of the management portion and the expansion card receiver is unlocked from the chassis.

ROTATING BUCKLE AND FIXING DEVICE

A rotating buckle includes a first fixing member, a second fixing member, and a hook body. The first fixing member includes protruding posts. The second fixing member defines limiting slots and comprises a fixing portion. The fixing portion fixes the second fixing member to the first fixing member through a first resilient member. The hook body is received between the first fixing member and the second fixing member. The hook body defines a mounting hole, an inclined slot, and a receiving slot. The protruding posts are inserted through the mounting hole, the inclined slot, and the limiting slots. The fixing portion is inserted through the receiving slot. The hook body is fixed to the first fixing member through a second resilient member.

SERVER AND MOUNTING CAGE

A server including chassis, motherboard, mounting cage, first guide pillar and expansion card. Motherboard is stacked on chassis bottom plate. Mounting cage includes bearing base, handle and first pivot. Bearing base is located on a side of motherboard located away from the chassis bottom plate and located between two chassis side plates. One of two bearing base side plates includes first guide slot, and handle is pivotally connected to the one of two bearing base side plates via first pivot and includes engagement hole. First guide pillar is fixed to the one of two chassis side plates and slidably disposed in first guide slot of the one of two chassis side plates. First guide pillar is engaged into engagement hole of handle. Expansion card is stacked on bearing base bottom plate and electrically connected to motherboard.

Expansion card holder and hook fixing mechanism

A hook fixing mechanism includes a fixing frame, a first hook, and a second hook. The first hook is rotationally mounted on the fixing frame. A first end of the first hook protrudes from the fixing frame, and a second end of the first hook is movably snapped on the fixing frame. The second hook is rotationally mounted on the fixing frame. A third end of the second hook protrudes from the fixing frame, and a fourth end of the second hook resists against the first hook.

Tool-less latch system for a node sled

A node sled is for installation into an electronics chassis. The node sled includes a housing that contains electronic components. The housing includes a front bracket and a catch mechanism. The node sled further includes a lever having an engagement arm, an actuation arm, and a mounting portion. The mounting portion is pivotably mounted to the housing. The actuation arm is manually moveable between a first position in which the engagement arm locks the node sled into the electronics chassis, and a second position in which the engagement arm is released from the electronics chassis. The actuation arm has a latch that engages the catch mechanism in response to the actuation arm being in the first position.

A chassis for housing a computing device of an information handling system includes an expansion card receiver. The chassis also includes an electrical receiver decoupler that partially ejects an expansion card from the expansion card receiver when an electrical connector of the expansion card is coupled to an electrical receiver of the expansion card receiver that enables the expansion card to be operably connected to a second component of the computing device. Partially ejecting the expansion card does not require the user of the chassis to physically contact the expansion card directly.

Locking structure and server cabinet with same

A space-saving locking structure without sharp edges for a server cabinet can lock a first housing to a second housing and includes first and second locking members. The first locking member includes a locking portion with a tail portion, the second locking member includes a blocking portion. The blocking portion has a rounded surface such that when the first housing is pressed along a first direction, the first housing approaches and closes with the second housing, the tail portion being set against a top of the blocking portion. When the first housing is further pushed in a second direction, the tail portion slides along the rounded surface of the blocking portion until the tail portion abuts against the blocking portion to lock the first housing to the second housing.

Latch mechanism for securing an expansion card module in a computer chassis

A latch mechanism for securing an expansion card assembly in a computer chassis includes a lever, a stop member, a rotary latch, a first biasing structure, and a second biasing structure. The lever includes a latching end and an opposing pinned end. The stop member extends from the pinned end. The rotary latch is connected to the latching end and includes a receiving chamber and a hook structure. The hook structure includes a notch for receiving a stop pin. The first biasing structure extends from the lever into the receiving chamber and is configured to urge the rotary latch into a locked position. The second biasing structure is configured to urge the lever about the pinned end to an open position.

Device sled extension limit latch

Technology is provided for a device sled with an extension limit latch. The device sled includes a sled chassis having a bottom wall and a sidewall extending between a front sled portion and a rear sled portion. The extension limit latch includes a latch arm having a proximal end portion pivotably coupled to the sled chassis proximate the rear sled portion. A latch barb extends from the latch arm and a distal end portion of the arm includes an actuation tab. The latch arm is pivotable between a latched position where the latch barb is positioned to engage a latch feature of a cubby chassis, thereby preventing removal of the sled chassis from the cubby chassis, and an unlatched position where the latch barb is disengaged from the latch feature of the cubby chassis.

REMOVABLE LEVER FOR INSERTING AND REMOVING A TRAY FROM A CHASSIS MODULE OF A SERVER RACK
20220141985 · 2022-05-05 ·

A removable lever apparatus for inserting and removing computer equipment from a chassis module of a server rack includes a central rotatable structure, a long arm connected to and extending in a first direction away from the central rotatable structure, and a short arm connected to and extending in a second direction away from the central rotatable structure. The central rotatable structure includes a rotation stopper for limiting rotation about the axis of rotation between an inserting position and a removing position. The central rotatable structure also includes a retention structure for maintaining the coupling to the tray when the central rotatable structure is in a position other than the inserting position. The short arm is configured to engage a side wall of the chassis module when the central rotatable structure is rotated.
