Interchangeable internal modular avionics platform assembly
Internal interchangeable modular avionics platform assemblies and methods for removably mounting and interchanging modular avionics platforms within an aircraft. In some embodiments, modular avionics platform assemblies may include a modular avionics platform configured to support various avionics equipment, suitable for removable mounting within a forward fuselage, and interchangeable with a number of alternate platforms. A platform may include a frame structure, and mounting pins and a connector assembly disposed on the frame structure. The mounting pins may project outwardly from the frame structure to align with and detachably secure to corresponding airframe members of an aircraft when the frame structure is in a mounted position. The connector assembly may be disposed on the frame structure and have a plurality of connectors, including connectors for alternating current, direct current, and data. In some embodiments, the platform may also include an environmental cooling system disposed on the frame structure.
ELECTRONIC UNIT HOLD DOWN ASSEMBLY
A hold down assembly for an electronic unit includes a locking washer having a cone at a front end thereof. The locking washer has a tang provided in the cone and extending forward from the cone. The cone is configured to receive a mounting hook of the electronic unit with a first side of the tang bearing against the mounting hook to lock the position of the locking washer relative to the mounting hook. An actuator knob is rotatably coupled to the locking washer. The actuator knob is configured to be tightened to a threaded shaft to tighten the hold down assembly to the electronic unit and drive the locking washer toward the mounting hook.
Mechanical fixing system for aeronautical display device
The general field of the invention is that of the display devices comprising a rectangular display screen, said display device compatible with an aeronautical standard for mechanical interfacing with an instrument panel, said standard being defined by fixing positions and fixing means at said positions. The display device according to the invention comprises: two identical removable mechanical bars of a length equal to the length of the screen, each bar being arranged under one of the long sides of the screen, each bar comprising: first fixing means at said defined fixing positions, said first fixing means arranged so as to fix said bar on the instrument panel; two fixing holes, each fixing hole arranged at one of the ends of said bar, second fixing means making it possible to fix the display device in the four fixing holes of the two bars.
Method for distribution of cooling air for electrical equipment installed in an avionic bay and aircraft equipped with such a bay
A method for distribution of cooling air for cooling an electrical equipment item installed in an avionic bay. Cooling air is drawn from an air vein, then passes into a first pressure zone in fluidic communication with the air vein and then into a second pressure zone in fluidic communication with both the first pressure zone and the electrical equipment. The second pressure zone extends beneath a largest dimension (e.g., length) of electronic boards of the electrical equipment to be cooled.
MULTI-URL SEAT FOR ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURE
A multi-LRU tray (1) of an electrical enclosure having a base (2), a backrest (3), two lateral brackets (4) to house at least two LRU (10) inserted along at least one of the transverse guiding ramps (2a) and an interconnection system (5) to electrically connect the LRU (10). The backrest (3) has at least one opening per LRU (10), through which an interconnection system (5) incorporating a printed circuit board (5c) is fitted.
Locking Device For Rackable Electronic Equiment
A locking device for a rackable piece of electronic equipment is disclosed. The locking device has a first beam and a second beam hinged to the first beam. The first beam and the second beam removably engage at least one lock of the rackable piece of electronic equipment and are capable of locking the rackable piece of electronic equipment to a backplane of a rack.
HOIST ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF LIFTING
A removable hoist assembly for lifting a load up and into a confined space in the form of a kit has a support structure releasably coupled to overhead structural beams in the confined space, a motor releasably coupled to the support structure above the support structure between the overhead structural beams, a hoist arm releasably coupled to the support structure to be rotatable and extendible with respect to the support structure, and a cable supported by the hoist arm. The cable has a free end positioned proximate a distal end of the hoist arm and configured to couple to the load and a terminal end coupled to the motor such that the cable extends and retracts with respect to the motor. The hoist arm support structure spreads the weight of the motor, hoist arm and the load across a plurality of the overhead structural beams.
