09936598 · 2018-04-03 · ·

A device for open-loop control or closed-loop control of a technical installation has a first backplane module, a second backplane module and a third backplane module which are configured to be positioned side by side on a mounting rail in a longitudinal direction. The first backplane module has a first main body and a first contact part. The second backplane module has a second main body and a second contact part. The third backplane module has a third main body and a third contact part. The main bodies each have an upper side comprising insertion openings which are configured to receive electrical contacts of separate electronic modules. The contact parts form a bus line in the longitudinal direction such that plugged-in electronic modules can be electrically coupled to one another by means of the contact parts. The second main body further has a receptacle, in which the second contact part is arranged in one of at least two defined variants. In a first variant, the second contact part has an electrically conductive connection to the first contact part and to the third contact part. In a second variant, the second contact part has an electrically conductive connection to the third contact part, but not to the first contact part.

Slice I/O—field power bus breaker

An input/output (I/O) device for an automation control system includes a device housing containing control circuitry, the device housing being mountable to a support, a control power input for receiving control power from a first adjacent I/O device when connected thereto, the control power input configured to supply control power to the control circuitry, a control power output for outputting control power to a second associated adjacent I/O device, a field power input for receiving field power from the first associated adjacent I/O device when connected thereto, and a field power output for transmitting field power to the second associated I/O device. The field power input is selectively removable to prevent field power from being received by the I/O device from the first associated adjacent I/O device when connected thereto.

An electronic device is provided and includes a backplane assembly, a detachable assembly and a locking assembly. The detachable assembly is detachably assembled with the backplane assembly. A slot is formed on the detachable assembly. The locking assembly is disposed between the backplane assembly and the detachable assembly for locking the detachable assembly on the backplane assembly. The locking assembly includes a latch component pivotally disposed on the backplane assembly. An end of the latch component is configured to stretch into the detachable assembly through the slot. The end of the latch component engages with the slot for restraining the detachable assembly from being detached from the backplane assembly when the latch component is located at a locking position. Besides, a related backplane assembly kit and a related detachable assembly kit are also provided.

In order to facilitate the vertical placement of modules (104, 106) within a PLC (100) and thus decrease the size of the PLC (100) without reducing the capability of the PLC (100), modules (104, 106) of the PLC (100) each includes a printed circuit board (PCB) (200, 202, 204), a spring loaded pin connector (214) supported by and in electrical communication with a first surface (206, 208) of the PCB (200, 202, 204), and a receptacle (216) supported by and in electrical communication with a second surface (206, 208) of the PCB (200, 202, 204). The spring loaded pin connector (214) and the receptacle (216) are in electrical communication with each other via the PCB (200, 202, 204).

INTERCONNETING ELECTRICAL MODULES

Systems, methods, and modes for mechanically and electrically interconnecting a plurality of electrical modules mounted on a rail side by side via an interconnector. Each electrical module comprises a housing and at least one slotted port recessed in the housing having a plurality of electrical contact pins therein. The interconnector comprises a first portion and a second portion each having a plurality of electrical contact pads, wherein each contact pad in the first portion is electrically connected to respective one of the plurality of contract pads in the second portion. The interconnector is adapted to removably attach to the electrical modules by inserting the first and second portions into respective slotted ports in the electrical modules and thereby aligning and electrically connecting the contact pads of the interconnector with respective contact pins of the electrical modules.

Connection system with modular expansion units having two or more devices

A connection system includes a first connection module and a second connection module, which each have a first connection devices, the first connection module including a second connection device and the second connection module including a third connection device. There is a direct electrical connection between the first connection device of the connection module and the accommodated device and a direct mechanical connection between the connection module and the accommodated device. The first connection module can be locked directly to the third connection device such that the first connection module is electrically and mechanically connected to the second connection module. The third connection device is arranged such that, when the second connection device is locked to the third connection device, mechanical and electrical disconnection of the first connection module from the second connection module is prevented if the second connection module has received a device.
