Application And Integration Of A GPU Server System
20230094401 · 2023-03-30 ·

A graphics processing unit (GPU) server having a GPU host head with one or more host graphics processing units (GPUs). The GPU server further has a GPU system with a plurality of system GPUs that are separate from the host GPUs, and that are configured to rapidly accelerate creation of images for output to a display device. The GPU server also has a mounting assembly that integrates the GPU host head and the GPU system into a single GPU server unit. The GPU host head is independently movable relative to the GPU system.

Rack for supporting servers of varying heights
11576277 · 2023-02-07 · ·

A server rack for supporting a plurality of servers of varying heights includes opposing side walls each including one or more vertical tracks. A first column of holes is disposed in one of the vertical tracks and a second column of holes disposed in a corresponding opposing vertical track of the opposing side wall. A third and fourth column of holes are disposed adjacent to and corresponding to the first column of holes and the second column of holes. A first pair of opposing rails are each disposed on the opposing side walls. Each of the opposing rails are mechanically secured to the one or more vertical tracks at the first and second columns of holes. The first pair of opposing rails are configured to support a first server having a first height. For the first and second columns of holes, the spacing between holes is predefined to accommodate opposing rails to support servers of the first height. For the third and fourth columns of holes, the spacing between holes is predefined to accommodate rails to support servers of a second different height and a different size than the first server.

Handle module, server, and server system

A handle module applicable to a server or a server system is provided. The handle module includes a handle and a plate. The handle includes a sliding column assembly. The plate includes a first sliding rail and a second sliding rail. The sliding column assembly is pivotably and slidably disposed in the first sliding rail and the second sliding rail. A user pushes the handle to install the server in a rack.

UNIVERSAL BRACKET FOR PERIPHERAL DEVICES

A universal bracket for mechanically coupling an information handling resource to a chassis of an information handling system may include a first mechanical member having a pair of guide features located on opposite edges of the first mechanical member and a second mechanical member having corresponding guide features configured to mechanically couple to the pair of guide features in order to enable the second mechanical member to slide relative to the first mechanical member in a linear direction such that a height of the universal bracket is configurable to match a height of the information handling resource.

UNIVERSAL BAY CHASSIS AND SYSTEM FOR SELF-IDENTIFICATION AND AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION OF AN INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM IN THE CHASSIS

A build on-demand chassis with a universal bay system that can be assembled into different configurations to support different system requirements from end users includes positionable partitions and a bay support assembly for each set of devices. A controller communicates with a microcontroller unit (MCU) in each bay support assembly to determine a slot identifier and a type of device supported by the bay support assembly to provide greater flexibility in what configurations are possible. When a processor in the information handling system sends an instruction for a type of device, the controller knows the location and capabilities of the device and manages the communication.

Technologies for configuration-free platform firmware

Technologies for managing configuration-free platform firmware include a compute device, which further includes a management controller. The management controller is to receive a system configuration request to access a system configuration parameter of the compute device and access the system configuration parameter in response to a receipt of the system configuration request.

Rack adapted for receiving a component, system including the rack and the component and method of delivering power to a component mounted in a rack
11617281 · 2023-03-28 · ·

A rack adapted for receiving a component, a system including the rack and the component and a method of delivering power to the component mounted in the rack are disclosed. The rack comprises a backplane, a power panel, and a main controller. Each stage of the backplane includes a backplane power connector and a backplane data connector that are respectively connectable to a component power connector and to a component data connector when the component is inserted in the backplane stage. The main controller detects an insertion of the component in a given backplane stage by receiving a signal emitted by the backplane data connector of that backplane stage, acquires a set of power parameters of the component, and causes the power panel to provide power to the backplane power connector of that backplane stage according to the set of power parameters of the component.

ROTATING ASSEMBLY, HANDLE LOCKING DEVICES, AND CHASSIS

A rotating assembly includes a first handle; the first handle includes a connecting part. The connecting part has first and second extensions and the connecting part is rotatably connected to a box holding one or more devices. The first and second extensions are arranged on opposite sides of the connecting part, the first extension can rotate with the connecting part until it rests on a base, on which base the box is rotatably arranged. The first extension and the second extension extend to both sides of the connecting part to lessen the force required for driving the box to rotate.

ELECTRONIC APPARATUS WITH MOUNTING MECHANISM
20230031822 · 2023-02-02 ·

A mounting mechanism for a server or other electronic apparatus allowing the addition of modules or devices of different sizes includes a casing having an opening. A guiding track is disposed in the casing; a slide bar is movably disposed on the guiding track; a restriction structure is disposed on the first end of the guiding track; and a locking structure can pivot on the restriction structure. When the casing is mounted on a rear rack, the slide bar is moved out of the casing via the opening, and the restriction structure and the locking structure are securely fastened to the frame.

Latch for a computing system

Example implementations relate to a latch and a computing system including such latch. The latch may include a latch enclosure and a latch assembly housed at least partially within the latch enclosure. The latch assembly may include a lever mounted to the latch enclosure via a first pivot pin and having a handle section disposed outside the latch enclosure and a force transfer section integrated with the handle section and disposed inside the latch enclosure. Further, the latch may include a hook engaged with the lever and mounted at least partially within the latch enclosure via a second pivot pin, wherein a movement of the lever about the first pivot pin causes a movement of the hook about the second pivot pin via the force transfer section.
