The backbone assembly includes a spine member having an extruded construction. The spine member includes one or more channels extending substantially an entire length thereof to facilitate easy attachment, removal and/or repositioning of a structure relative to the spine member. The cable manager optionally includes an accessory rod, a half-spool assembly, a cable finger accessory, a strap/buckle accessory, and/or a door assembly having an interference-free hinge set.

Cable management rack and cable management apparatus for a server cabinet

Provided are a cable management rack and a cable management apparatus for a server cabinet. The cable management rack includes a plurality of cable-bundling units sequentially connected, where each of the plurality of cable-bundling units includes a first cable-bundling piece; a second cable-bundling piece, which is detachably connected to the first cable-bundling piece; a through hole for cables to pass through, which is formed between the second cable-bundling piece and the first cable-bundling piece; and a plurality of cable guide outlets, which are formed on the first cable-bundling piece and the second cable-bundling piece and are spaced apart and distributed along an extending direction of the through hole. Each cable guide outlet is provided with a guide structure to guide an outlet direction of a cable. Two adjacent cable-bundling units are detachably connected, and through holes of the plurality of cable-bundling units are sequentially communicated.

CABLE SUPPORT SYSTEM HAVING MULTI-POSITION PARTITION

A system for improved cable management is disclosed in several example embodiments. The disclosed embodiments describe example structures for supporting cables, for example telecommunications and fiber optic cables, within a cable storage cabinet. The disclosed embodiments also describe a door for a cable storage cabinet. The example door includes a hinge control and handle system which allows the door to be opened along either side to therefore allow the door to be opened either way from a single handle. The disclosed embodiments also describes an indicator system which informs a user when the door for the cable storage cabinet is in either a closed position or an open position. Each of these embodiments improves the utility and safety of cable management, particularly within cable storage cabinets.

Physical layer management (PLM) system for use with an optical distribution frame having trays with selectable patch side

One embodiment is directed to a tray for use in a subrack of a rack. The tray comprises a printed circuit board configured so that a plurality of connections can be made at a plurality of positions on the printed circuit board, each of the plurality of connections involving at least one connector positioned on a patch side of the plurality of positions and the least one connector having a device associated therewith in which information is stored. The tray is configured so that either side of the positions can be used as the patch side. The tray is configured so that the devices associated with the connectors involved in making the connections at the patch side can be read via the tray. The devices associated with the connections can be implemented, for example, using RFID tags or connection point identifier (CPID) storage devices (such as EEPROMs).

Cable management device and connection mechanism

A cable management device includes a first arm and a first connection element. The first arm has a first end portion and a second end portion. The first connection element is pivotally connected to the second end portion of the first arm. One of the first arm and the first connection element is arranged with an engaging feature, and the other one of the first arm and the first connection element is arranged with a corresponding feature. The engaging feature has a connecting portion, a flexible portion, an engaging portion and a contacting portion. When the first arm pivots relative to the first connection element from a first position to a second position by a predetermined angle, the first arm is capable of being kept at the second position relative to the first connection element by cooperation between the engaging feature and the corresponding feature.

Cable backplane system having individually removable cable connector assemblies

A cable backplane system includes cable backplanes each including a tray configured to be coupled to a chassis and a plurality of cable connector assemblies mounted to the tray. The tray has a plate extending between a front and a rear with mounting locations receiving corresponding cable connector assemblies. The trays are oriented parallel to each other with front openings between the fronts of the plates and rear openings between the rears of the plates. Each cable connector assembly has a housing holding contacts terminated to corresponding cables. Each cable connector assembly has a holder mounted to the corresponding mounting location of the plate. The holder is mounted to the plate and removable from the plate through the rear opening at the rear of the plate.
