MODULAR DATA CENTER WITH PASSIVELY-COOLED UTILITY MODULE

A data center may be organized into modules, wherein the modules are purchased pre-configured to provide certain functionality of an information handling system. The modules may include utility modules, information technology (IT) modules, and air handling unit (AHU) modules. The utility module may provide infrastructure for other modules, such as electrical power service infrastructure. The utility module may be passively cooled through openings to controlled environments in other modules. For example, the utility module may include openings for airflow to and from the warm air aisle and the cool air aisle of an information technology (IT) module that has an attached air handing unit (AHU) module. Space in the utility module may be cooled through airflow to and from the cooled IT module.

Portable data center

A portable data center is configured to be supported by any suitable self-propelled motor vehicle, and transported to a client location, such that a large volume of data can be transmitted to, and stored on, computing devices of the portable data center via a hard wire communication link. The portable data center can then be transported to a data center building so as to store the data received at the client location on one or more computing devices housed in the data center building.

The present invention is a corrosion environment diagnosis system including: an environment measuring device that includes a temperature sensor that measures temperature in an electronic part serving as a diagnosis target or an indoor space in which an electronic device including the electronic part is installed, a humidity sensor that measures relative humidity in the indoor space or the electronic device, a corrosion sensor that measures a corrosion thickness of the diagnosis target, and a database in which indoor environment data including the temperature and the relative humidity measured by the temperature sensor and the humidity sensor and corrosion thickness data including the corrosion thickness measured by the corrosion sensor are accumulated; an outside air environment database in which outside air environment data including previous temperature and humidity of outside air is recorded; and a diagnostic processing device capable of receiving data of the outside air environment database and the environment measuring device, wherein the diagnostic processing device decides a corrosion mechanism corresponding to a relation between the corrosion thickness and the relative humidity on the basis of the indoor environment data, the corrosion thickness data, and the outside air environment data, and estimates a future corrosion thickness of the diagnosis target. Accordingly, it is possible to accurately estimate a future corrosion thickness on the basis of a mechanism of corrosion by atmospheric air including corrosive gas.

MODULAR DATA CENTER FACILITY WITH COOLING MODULES

A modular housing encloses a data center and a modular cooling system. The modular cooling system includes a modular cooling pallet on which cooling modules are installed. Each cooling module can have different cooling properties and may cool air to a different temperature than that of air cooled by other cooling modules. This can fulfill the different cooling needs among different computers that reside in the data center. The modular housing may also provide features that enable it to be quickly assembled at an operating site. The modular housing may comprise wall structures, roof structures, and a floor structure that are embedded with fastening features, which eliminates use of loose fasteners used for assembly. The floor structure may be made of rack pallets that provide wire ways through which connections can be routed, which simplifies the wiring process when assembling the modular housing on site.
