A floor cleaning machine including a handle that pivots relative to a base about a pivot axis. A recovery tank is coupled to the handle in fluid communication with a suction motor assembly to receive and store fluid and dirt drawn through a suction nozzle. The floor cleaning machine further includes an expandable hose fluidly communicating the recovery tank and the suction nozzle. The hose is in an expanded configuration when the handle is pivoted about the pivot axis to a reclined position. The hose is in a retracted configuration when the handle is pivoted about the pivot axis to a substantially upright position. The hose at least partially wraps around the pivot axis with the pivot axis being between a portion of the hose wrapped around the pivot axis and the surface being cleaned in the expanded and the retracted configurations.

The base includes a suction inlet in fluid communication with the vacuum source, a brushroll chamber including a rear wall, a brushroll in the brushroll chamber, the brushroll rotatable about a brushroll axis, and a brushroll cover releaseably attached to the base, the brushroll cover removable to access the brushroll chamber and the brushroll, and the brushroll chamber rear wall is attached to and removable with the brushroll cover.
Surface cleaning apparatus with a brake assembly
A surface cleaning apparatus such as a vacuum cleaner includes a suction source, a recovery container, and a base assembly with at least one agitator within an agitator chamber. The recovery container can be coupled to a separator assembly configured to remove dirt and debris from working fluid through the vacuum cleaner. In addition, a brake assembly can be provided on an upper portion of the base assembly and be configured to engage at least one wheel of the base assembly.
Vacuum cleaner including debris tube and handle
An upright vacuum cleaner includes a cleaning head for removing debris from a floor, a debris tube connected to the cleaning head for receiving the debris, and a steering handle connected to the debris tube. The upright vacuum cleaner also includes a hinge connecting the debris tube to the cleaning head such that the debris tube rotates relative to the cleaning head. The upright vacuum cleaner further includes braces to support the debris tube as the debris tube rotates relative to the cleaning head. The braces are disposed on opposite sides of the debris tube. Each brace includes a bearing connected to the cleaning head to allow the brace to rotate relative to the cleaning head.

An upright vacuum cleaner includes a cleaning head for removing debris from a floor, a debris tube connected to the cleaning head for receiving the debris, and a steering handle connected to the debris tube. FLOOR CLEANER
A floor cleaner including a vacuum source and a base movable over a surface to be cleaned. The base includes a suction inlet in fluid communication with the vacuum source, a brushroll chamber, a brushroll in the brushroll chamber, the brushroll rotatable about a brushroll axis, a brushroll cover releaseably attached to the base, the brushroll cover removable to access the brushroll chamber and the brushroll. The base further includes a first actuator movable in a first direction from a latched position and to an unlatched position and a second actuator movable in a second direction, opposite the first direction, from a latched position and an unlatched position. The brushroll cover is secured to the base when the first and second actuators are in the latched positions and the brushroll cover is removable from the base when the first and second actuators are in the unlatched positions.
Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus has a suction motor actuator that is actuatable to actuate the suction motor to operate in a first mode of operation and to operate in a second mode of operation, the first mode of operation defining a first discrete power level for the suction motor and the second mode of operation defining a second discrete power level for the suction motor. The first mode of operation is enabled when the first power pack having a first level of power is provided to power the surface cleaning apparatus and the second mode of operation is not enabled until a second power pack is provided such that the surface cleaning apparatus has a second level of on board power that is greater than the first level of on board power.
