An upright vacuum cleaner (1) includes a brushroll (11); a motor assembly (200) including a motor housing (21) and a motor (22), in which a rotating axis of the motor (22) and a rotating axis of the brushroll (11) are disposed in a non-parallel manner, and the motor (22) drives the brushroll (11) rolling by a drive belt (13) and is rotatable between a first upright position of tensioning the drive belt (13) and a first oblique position of loosening the drive belt (13); a body assembly (300) including a body (31), a bridging member (32) and a dirt cup (37) mounted on the body (31), in which the bridging member (32) is rotatably connected with the motor housing (21) to make the body (31) rotatable between a second upright position and a second oblique position, and the motor (22) is moved by the bridging member (32) from the first oblique position to the first upright position when the body (31) moves from the second upright position to the second oblique position.

A vertical vacuum cleaner (1) is provided, including a brushroll (22); a motor assembly (200) including a motor housing (21) and a motor (22), in which the motor (22) is configured to drive the brushroll (22) to roll via a drive belt (13) and is rotatable between a first upright position where the drive belt (13) is tensioned and a first oblique position where the drive belt (13) is loosened; a body assembly (300) including a body (31) and a bridging member (32) rotatably connected with the motor housing (21); a lever driving device rotatably disposed to the motor housing (21) and having two ends respectively fitted with the bridging member (32) and the motor (22), in which the bridging member (32) is configured to drive the motor (22) to move from the first oblique position to the first upright position via the lever driving device.

The leading roller is generally positioned adjacent to and in advance of the opening of the suction conduit. The surface cleaning head may have dual agitatorsa leading roller and a rotating brush rollwith the leading roller being located in front of the brush roll. The leading roller may have a smaller diameter than the brush roll and may provide a softer cleaning element. The leading roller may also have a bottom portion exposed to the flow path to the suction conduit and at least a top half that is not exposed to that flow path. The leading roller may also float relative to the surface cleaning head and/or may be adjustable relative to the brush roll.

A floor brush assembly for an upright vacuum cleaner (1) and an upright vacuum cleaner (1) with the same are disclosed. The floor brush includes a brushroll (11); a motor (22) driving the brushroll (11) to roll via a drive belt (13) that is winded upon a motor shaft (221) of the motor (22) and a central part of the brushroll (11); and a brushroll casing (12) provided outside the brushroll (11), having a dust suction port and defining a brushroll air-suction channel (122) and a drive-belt mounting chamber (123) for mounting the drive belt, in which the brushroll air-suction channel (122) comprises a first air-suction channel (1221) and a second air-suction channel (1222) located at both sides of the drive-belt mounting chamber (123).
