A printed circuit board (PCB) includes a substrate defining a major plane. A first side of the major plane is configured for mounting of functional circuit elements. A cable connector is mounted on a second side of the major plane of the substrate, opposite the first side, for coupling to a shielded radiofrequency (RF) communications cable. At least one component grounding layer is parallel to the major plane and configured for coupling to the functional elements. At least one cable grounding layer is parallel to the major plane and is separated from the at least one component grounding layer. Each cable grounding layer in the at least one cable grounding layer is coextensive with the substrate and is configured for coupling, through the connector, to shielding of the shielded RF communications cable, without coupling to any other component. Nodes of an RF communications system may be mounted on such PCBs.

A method for manufacturing a multilayer printed wiring board includes: preparing a first wiring board that includes a circuit region formed with one or more signal lines on a main surface of a first insulating substrate; preparing a second wiring board that includes an electrically conductive layer on a main surface of a second insulating substrate; disposing a spacer at a position spaced apart from an outer edge of the circuit region by a predetermined distance along at least a part of the outer edge; disposing an adhesive layer on the circuit region so that a space is provided between the adhesive layer and the spacer; and laminating the first wiring board and the second wiring board for thermocompression bonding.

The second FPCB includes: a first connector disposed on the PCB and electrically connected to the wireless communication circuit; a second connector coupled to a second joint electrically connected to the second antenna module; a third connector coupled to a third joint electrically connected to the third antenna module; and a coupler connecting the first connector, the second connector, and the third connector.
