Method for producing ceramic multi-layer components
Methods for producing ceramic multi-layer components and multi-layer components made by such methods. A method includes the following steps: providing green layers for the ceramic multi-layer components, stacking the green layers into a stack and subsequently pressing the stack into a block, singulating the block into partial blocks each having a longitudinal direction, thermally treating the partial blocks and subsequently machining surfaces of the partial blocks. Recesses are produced on the surfaces of the partial blocks during the machining, and the partial blocks are singulated.

In at least one embodiment, an ultrasound transducer assembly includes a plurality of transducer elements and a plurality of kerfs. Each of the kerfs is disposed between adjacent ones of the transducer elements. A kerf fill material is disposed in the plurality of kerfs. The kerf fill material includes a first material having a first viscosity and a solvent that reduces the first viscosity of the kerf fill material to a second viscosity that is less than the first viscosity. The kerf fill material may include a mixture of a silicone and a volatile methylsiloxane (VMS) fluid.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF MOUNTING STRUCTURE, AND LAMINATE SHEET THEREFOR
A manufacturing method of a mounting structure, the method including: a step of preparing a mounting member including a first circuit member and a plurality of second circuit members placed on the first circuit member, the mounting member having a space between the first circuit member and the second circuit member; a step of preparing a laminate sheet including a first thermal-conductive layer and a second thermal-conductive layer, the first thermal-conductive layer disposed at least on one outermost side; a disposing step of disposing the laminate sheet on the mounting member such that the first thermal-conductive layer faces the second circuit members; and a sealing step of pressing the laminate sheet against the first circuit member and heating the laminate sheet, to seal the second circuit members so as to maintain the space, and to cure the laminate sheet. The first thermal-conductive layer after curing has a coefficient of thermal conductivity in a thickness direction at room temperature being equal to or greater than that in a principal surface direction, and the second thermal-conductive layer after curing has a coefficient of thermal conductivity in a principal surface direction at room temperature being greater than that in a thickness direction.
Electroacoustic conversion film web, electroacoustic conversion film, and method of manufacturing an electroacoustic conversion film web
Provided are an electroacoustic conversion film web, an electroacoustic conversion film, and a method of manufacturing an electroacoustic conversion film web in which costs can be reduced by reducing the number of operations without damage to thin film electrodes, the points of electrode lead-out portions can be freely determined, and thus high productivity can be achieved. A preparation step of preparing an electrode laminated body in which a single thin film electrode and a single protective layer are laminated and a lamination step of laminating the electrode laminated body and an piezoelectric layer are included. A non-adhered portion that is not adhered to the piezoelectric layer is provided in at least one end portion of the thin film electrode in a case where the electrode laminated body and the piezoelectric layer are laminated in the lamination step.
Assembly of DSA suspensions using microactuators with partially cured adhesives
A method of assembly a dual stage actuated suspension includes either applying an adhesive to a microactuator motor and then B-staging the adhesive, or applying an adhesive that has already been B-staged such as in film adhesive form to the microactuator then assembling the microactuator into a suspension and then finishing the adhesive cure. The adhesive can be applied to bulk piezoelectric material, with the adhesive being B-staged either before or after it is applied to the bulk piezoelectric material, and the piezoelectric material then singulated into a number of individual piezoelectric microactuators. The method allows greater control over how much adhesive is used, and greater control over spread of that adhesive and control over potential contamination, than traditional liquid epoxy dispense methods.
Methods of manufacturing electronic devices formed in a cavity and including a via
A method of manufacturing an electronic device formed in a cavity may include, on a first substrate having a bottom surface and a top surface, forming a first side wall of a certain height along a periphery on the bottom surface to surround an electronic circuit disposed on the bottom surface; forming a via communicating between the bottom surface and the top surface, forming of the via including stacking a first stop layer and a second stop layer sequentially on a portion of the bottom surface of the first substrate corresponding to the via and etching the first substrate to form a through-hole corresponding to the via, a rate of etching the first substrate being greater than that of the first stop layer and a rate of etching the first stop layer being greater than that of the second stop layer; forming a second side wall of a certain height along a periphery on a top surface of the second substrate; and aligning and bonding the first side wall and the second side wall.
Liquid discharge head, including supply and discharge channels, liquid discharge device, and liquid discharge apparatus
A liquid discharge head includes a nozzle to discharge a liquid, an individual chamber communicating with the nozzle, a supply channel communicating with the individual chamber to supply the liquid to the individual chamber, and a discharge channel communicating with the individual chamber to discharge the liquid in the individual chamber. A fluid resistance of the supply channel is greater than a fluid resistance of the discharge channel.
