Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus comprises a cyclone positioned in an air flow path having a tangential air inlet with an inlet end, an outlet end, a cross-sectional flow area in a direction of flow through the tangential air inlet, a height in a direction of the cyclone axis of rotation and a width in a direction transverse to the height of the tangential air inlet. The air flow path comprises an air flow conduit at the inlet end of the tangential inlet having a cross-sectional flow area in a direction transverse to a direction of flow through the air flow conduit. The cross-sectional flow area of the tangential air inlet is greater than the cross-sectional flow area of the air flow conduit and one of the width and height of the tangential air inlet is greater than the other of the width and height of the tangential air inlet.
Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus is described including a housing supporting a suction source, a dirt collection container, and a cyclonic separation device for separating dirt from the airflow passing through the apparatus. The apparatus further includes a ducting member having an inlet in communication with an outlet from the cyclonic separation device and an outlet in communication with a passage leading to the suction source. The ducting member is removably connected to the housing or the dirt collection container and is rotatably moveable between locked and unlocked positions, and rotational movement of the ducting member from its unlocked position to its locked position aligns the outlet of the ducting member with the passage leading to the suction source.
Air treatment apparatus
A docking station for a robotic surface cleaning apparatus has a momentum separator. The momentum separator has an upper wall, a lower wall and a first sidewall extending between the upper and lower walls. The first sidewall comprises a side screen and an end wall is spaced from and faces the side screen whereby an up flow chamber is positioned between the end wall and the side screen. The upper wall also comprises an upper screen and an upper end wall is spaced from and faces the upper screen wherein an upper air flow chamber is positioned between the upper end wall and the upper screen.
Vacuum cleaner
A vacuum cleaner includes a suction inlet, a suction source configured to generate an airflow through the suction inlet to draw debris with the airflow through the suction inlet, and a separator assembly. The separator assembly includes a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet, a debris collection chamber within the housing, and an inner chamber formed within a shroud that defines a cyclone axis and has a perforated portion. The inner chamber has a first end and a second end. The first end has a tangential inlet. The second end is open toward the debris collection chamber. An outflow passageway is outside of the shroud and in fluid communication with the air outlet and a filter is in fluid communication with the outflow passageway.
Cyclonic air treatment member and surface cleaning apparatus including the same
A hand vacuum cleaner comprises a cyclone comprising a front end having a cyclone air inlet, a rear end having a cyclone air outlet and a cyclone axis of rotation extending between the front end and the rear end of the cyclone. A conical pre-motor filter is positioned rearward of the cyclone. The pre-motor filter has a front end that faces that faces towards the cyclone air outlet. A suction motor is positioned rearward of the pre-motor filter. The suction motor has an inlet end that faces towards a rear end of the pre-motor filter. A handle is provided at the rear end of the hand vacuum cleaner and is positioned rearward of the suction motor. The handle has an energy storage member housing, The cyclone axis of rotation and the suction motor axis of rotation are parallel, and the handle axis extends at an angle to the cyclone axis of rotation and the suction motor axis of rotation.
CLEANER
A cleaner including a cyclone dust collector and a filter has a shortened total length. The cleaner includes a main unit including a suction port, a cyclone unit including a cyclone dust collector having an outlet and a cylinder located rearward from the outlet and having an opening larger than the outlet, and a filter located frontward from the suction port and covering the opening.
Portable surface cleaning apparatus
A hand vacuum cleaner comprises a cyclone having a dirt outlet in communication with a dirt chamber. The cyclone has a central longitudinally extending axis, wherein, when the upper end of the hand vacuum cleaner is positioned above the lower end of the hand vacuum cleaner, the central longitudinally extending axis is oriented generally horizontally and the dirt outlet comprises a slot provided in an upper portion of the sidewall of the cyclone.
FILTER AND CLEANING METHOD
The invention relates to a filter (10) for a suction device, in particular a vacuum cleaner, a wet vacuum cleaner or the like, to a suction device, and to a cleaning method, the filter comprising a filter housing (11) within which a suction air duct (12) for conveying a suction air flow is formed, the filter housing having a centrifugal separator (13) for separating particles from the suction air flow and a container (14) for collecting the separated particles. The filter has a metering device (15) disposed upstream of the centrifugal separator in a flow direction of the suction air flow, the metering device being configured to spray liquid into the suction air flow.
Dust collecting apparatus and cleaner having the same
A cleaner is provided. The cleaner includes a transfer device, and a dust collecting apparatus connectable to the transfer device and configured to filter out rubbish transferred from the transfer device. The dust collecting apparatus includes a housing in which a first dust chamber is formed, and including a guide recessed inwardly from an outer surface, a handle configured to be movable on the outside of the housing and provided to cover at least a portion of the guide, a first rubbish removal member configured to be movable inside the housing based on the movement of the handle, and configured to discharge rubbish collected in the first dust chamber, and a link configured to connect the handle to the first rubbish removal member, and having a movement guided by the guide.
