A circuit breaker lockout apparatus, in particular to a motor circuit breaker lockout apparatus, includes two half-shell like housing parts, in particular housing halves, and an adjustment element. The two housing parts are assembled to form a housing shell having a rear wall and that are connected to one another via a pivot joint that defines a pivot axis about which the two housing parts are pivotable relative to one another between a release position and a clamping position. The adjustment element is adjustable between a base position and a locked position and that is in particular rotatable about an axis of rotation in order to transfer the two housing parts from the release position to the clamping position.

Circuit breaker lockout apparatus

A circuit breaker lockout apparatus includes a base body having a first section, a second section, and a recess formed between the first and second sections to receive a switch lever of a circuit breaker; a fixing element installed at the first section of the base body and having an actuation section to fix the base body to a switch lever of a circuit breaker received in the recess; and a cover adjustably fastened between a release position and a lockout position at the base body, the actuation section of the fixing element is accessible in the release position and is covered in an inaccessible manner by the cover in the lockout position, and the cover is configured to be fixed to the base body in the lockout position to block an adjustment of the cover from the lockout position into the release position.

SMART BUS PLUG REMOTE ACTUATION, MONITORING, AND CONTROL

A power distribution system includes a bus plug having an electrical switch configured to selectively control energization of the bus plug. The bus plug includes an electrical switch having a control knob operable to selectively control energization of the bus plug, and an actuator having an actuator adaptor coupling that couples movement of the actuator to the control knob. The bus plug includes a partition wall separating the internal volume into a line side and a load side. The bus plug includes an external handle coupled to mechanical linkages, and an adaptor bracket fixed to at least one of the mechanical linkages and oriented to interact with the control knob. The bus plug includes an actuator operable to move the mechanical linkages. Methods of controlling energization of a bus plug with a remote application and communication module configured to operate an actuator are also provided.

A lock-out pinion can be coupled to a center sump control shaft to rotate therewith. A lock-out slide can include a rack and a blocking cover. A lock-out guide can be coupled to the sump control housing and can form a guide channel. The lock-out slide can be received in the guide channel with the lock-out pinion drivingly coupled to the rack to move the lock-out slide along the guide channel from a lock-out position in which the blocking cover prevents rotation of the intermediate sump control shaft with the driving handle, to an unlocked position in which the blocking cover permits rotation of the intermediate sump control shaft with the driving handle, in response to manual rotation of the center sump control shaft in the center sump opening direction.

A lock assembly for a switch device of an electrical power distribution system includes a first lock and a second lock. The lock assembly also includes a connector arranged to inhibit movement of the first lock when the switch device is in a first position and inhibit movement of the second lock when the switch device is in a second position. The lock assembly further includes a guard coupled to at least one of the first lock and the second lock. The guard is positionable between a first position in which the guard allows access to an actuating mechanism of the switch device and a second position in which the guard inhibits access to the actuating mechanism. The guard is moveable between the first position and the second position when at least one of said first lock and said second lock is rotated.

Lockout for Pendant Control or Other Terminally-Positioned Structure on a Cord

A lockout device includes a plurality of rigid panels and a flexible body extending along an insertion axis which has, on one axial end thereof, a selectively closeable opening. The rigid panels are affixed to sidewalls of the flexible body with the rigid panels being positioned about the insertion axis. When the selectively closeable opening is opened, the flexible body and the plurality of rigid panels collectively define an interior volume for reception of a pendant control or other terminally-positioned electrical structure on a cord through the selectively closeable opening. When the selectively closeable opening is closed around the cord from which the pendant control or other terminally-positioned electrical structure extends, the pendant is secured in the interior volume and use of the pendant is inhibited by the plurality of rigid panels of the lockout device. This lockout device can further be telescopically expandable and/or collapsible in some forms.

LOCKOUT SYSTEM FOR ENERGY SOURCES
20200149321 · 2020-05-14 ·

A lockout system includes a hasp assembly and a plurality of tags. The hasp assembly has a back plate defining slots each sized and shaped to receive a tag. The back plate and tags each have openings that align when a tag is received in a slot. A first hasp portion has a first loop portion and a second hasp portion has a second loop portion. The first and second hasp portions are rotatable with respect to one another such that moving the lockout system has both an unlocked position and a locked position associated with an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the first and second hasp portions complete and define a closed loop, where one or more tags can be installed in slots preventing further movement from the closed position.

A lockout system includes a hasp assembly and a plurality of tags. The hasp assembly has a back plate defining slots each sized and shaped to receive a tag. The back plate and tags each have openings that align when a tag is received in a slot. A first hasp portion on the back plate defines part of a closed loop. A longitudinal locking bar is slidable along the back plate and has notches shaped to receive ends of the tags. Moving the locking bar between an unlocked position and a locked position operates the second hasp portion between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the first and second hasp portions complete and define the closed loop, where one or more tags can be installed in slots with the first end of the tag engaging a notch to lock closed the hasp portion.
