SWITCH DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SWITCH DEVICE
A switch device includes a plurality of lead frames that is conductive and configured to electrically connectable to an external device, a contact-separation mechanism configured to allow the plurality of lead frames to be electrically connected to and separated from each other, and an electric element configured to connect the plurality of lead frames to each other. The electric element is surface-mounted on the lead frames and sealed with resin. In each of the lead frame, the boundary, such as a groove or a notch, is formed along the outer edge of the arrangement position of the electric element.
APPARATUS FOR EFFICIENTLY TRANSFERRING ELECTRIC POWER TO DOORS IN ORDER TO ENERGIZE DOOR-ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL DEVICES
An apparatus for efficiently transferring electric power to doors from a door jamb in order to energize door-associated electrical devices, which includes a door for entering and exiting a room, a stationary door electric power transfer bar affixed to the door and a door jamb associated with the door. A striker plate is provided for the door jamb and there is a retractable energized electric power transfer member in the striker plate, along with a power supply for electrical devices associated with the door which would require electrical power.
Security system sensor and methods
A three-way switch associated with an entry point barrier may provide a security system with information regarding a position of the entry point barrier as it moves along a path of travel. As the entry point barrier moves, the three-way switch may come into proximity with an external object, and the three-way switch may indicate to the security system that a circuit associated with the three-way switch has been closed. The security system may determine that the entry point barrier is in a given position, and one or more security system policies associated with the given position may be activated.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ACTIVATING SWITCHES
Apparatuses and methods for activating a switch are provided. The switch is supported by one of a bracket and a panel and includes a switch body and a switch plunger that is moveably coupled to the switch body to activate and deactivate the switch. In one example, the apparatus includes a clamp body that is configured to be removably coupled to the one of the bracket and the panel and that has an opening formed therethrough. The apparatus further includes a rod portion having a first end portion that has a surface that includes a first concave surface. The rod portion is configured to be advanced through the opening. The surface interfaces with the switch plunger and moves the switch plunger to activate the switch when the clamp body is coupled to the one of the bracket and the panel and when the rod portion is advanced through the opening.
Electrical contact system
An electrical contact system is shown and described. The electrical contact system includes a housing. The housing includes a plurality of sidewalk and a top section having an interior volume. A circuit board is secured within the interior volume the circuit board has a plurality of traces located thereon. Each trace has a plurality of lands connected thereto. A plurality of electrical contacts is electrically connected to the lands such that one end of the electrical contact is connection to one trace and the second end of the electrical contact is connected to the second trace.

Lighted Guard System
Techniques are disclosed implementing a lighted guard system, which changes from one color (e.g. white) when the guard is down (i.e. closed) and/or a machine associated with the guard is operational, to another color (e.g. red) when the guard is up (i.e. open) and/or the machine associated with the guard is not operational. The triggering of the change in state of the guard may be facilitated by a switch that changes state based upon a position of the guard.
