THREE-POSITION OPERATING MODE SWITCH
A modular electrical control system for installation in an electrical box of a premises includes a switch module configured to control power delivery to at least one external load, the switch module including a multi-position switch device that changes an operational mode of the switch module to off, toggle mode, or dimmer mode, and a removable user interface module configured to connect to the switch module, receive power from the switch module and display an interface in accordance with a setting of the multi-position switch device.
SECURITY SYSTEM SENSOR AND METHODS
A three-way switch associated with an entry point barrier may provide a security system with information regarding a position of the entry point barrier as it moves along a path of travel. As the entry point barrier moves, the three-way switch may come into proximity with an external object, and the three-way switch may indicate to the security system that a circuit associated with the three-way switch has been closed. The security system may determine that the entry point barrier is in a given position, and one or more security system policies associated with the given position may be activated.
Switch device and detecting apparatus equipped with it
First guide supports and second guide supports are integrally formed on an external base material to which external terminals are fixed. Guide protrusions and guide concave parts, which extend vertically, are formed on the housing of a switch device. When each guide protrusion and its corresponding guide concave part are guided by a first guide support and a second guide support during the attachment of the switch device to the external base material, the switch device can be easily attached.
Effects Control Module and Method of Magnetic Closure for Battery Door
An effects control module for a musical instrument has a housing and a battery enclosure assembly rotatably coupled to the housing. The battery enclosure assembly includes a door with a magnetic plate attractive to a surface of the housing to enable final closure of the battery enclosure assembly with respect to the housing absent external force. No external human force is needed to enable and complete final closure of the battery enclosure assembly with respect to the housing after the critical magnetic position of the door. The battery enclosure assembly is disposed on a first side surface of the housing with a battery area and latch configured to contain a battery. A material is disposed on the door to soften the closure. A second side surface of the housing includes a paramagnetic material to provide substantially no magnetic influence from the second side surface of the housing.
Electrical pushbutton switch
A switch includes a pushbutton comprising an actuating portion, a first fixed contact element and a first movable contact element facing the first fixed contact element for establishing a first switching way. The first movable contact element may include a movable portion of a first elastically deformable conductive blade. The actuating portion may include a first cam which cooperates with a cam follower portion of the first blade to deform or relax the first blade for longitudinally moving the first movable contact element to come into contact, or out of contact, with the portion of the first fixed contact element, depending on the vertical position of the actuation member. A second fixed contact element and second movable contact may be similarly constructed to provide a second switching way.
Door monitoring contact switch device
A contact switch including a rail having slot with a first straight section and a second curved section, a toggle unit inside a housing, the toggle unit including an extension unit that slidably engages the slot and at least one contact, a contact unit in the housing including at least one contact, where the toggle unit moves in the housing such that the contacts on the toggle unit engage at least one contact on the stationary unit in the first straight section and the contacts disengage in the second curved section.
Adjustable door sensor
An entry sensor, which supports either wireless or wired operation, facilitates installation and is adjustable for gaps between a building entry barrier such as a door or window and the surrounding frame. The sensor, which may be implemented as a single piece design, includes an adjustment mechanism that enables an installer to vary the extension of the sensor to match the actual gap so that the sensor properly secures the building entry when closed. The sensor includes a detector that determines the state of a switch that is responsive to the movement of a plunger mechanism, where the state is indicative whether the building entry barrier is opened or closed, and that may determine whether the sensor is tampered with. The sensor also may facilitate battery replacement that protects the associated circuitry during the replacement.
