Thermal fuse

A thermal fuse for an electrical circuit is described, with a contact arm by way of which two electrical conductors are electrically conductively connected to each other, wherein the connection of the contact arm to at least one of the two conductors is a soldered joint, which loses its strength when a activation temperature of the fuse is reached. In accordance with this disclosure a permanent magnet is provided, which generates a magnetic force, which lifts the contact arm from at least one of the two conductors as soon as the soldered joint loses its strength.

An installation structure of a temperature fuse is disclosed. The temperature fuse includes a first leg fixed to one surface of a printed circuit board (PCB), a bent part formed to be bent several times in an outer direction of the PCB from an end part of the first leg, and a second leg incorporated with the bent part and fixed to one surface of the PCB while being spaced apart from the first leg by a predetermined distance. The installation structure of the temperature fuse includes a third leg formed to extend from any one of the first leg and the second leg, a conductive member electrically connected to the third leg while being electrically isolated from the PCB, and a sensing part electrically connected to the third leg through the conductive member, and configured to detect whether a connection state between the third leg and the conductive member is normal.

Thermal Fuse

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for thermal fuse circuit breakers. The thermal fuses described herein may be disposed in a connector, so that, should an overheating condition occur, for example, due to an arc discharge across or inside of the connector, the heat of the arc discharge melts a portion of the fuse, thereby preventing a potentially catastrophic event, such as fire, or damage to a component which may be more expensive than the thermal fuse itself.

ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY WITH THERMAL FUSE, AN ELECTRIC MOTOR AND A DRIVE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

An electronic assembly contains a circuit board having a current-conducting current path with two mutually spaced-apart current path ends that form an interruption point and a contact clip bridging the interruption point. The contact clip is manufactured without a preload, as a thermal fuse. The contact clip has a multiply bent, open clip loop and a contact limb making contact with both mutually spaced-apart current path ends using solder. The contact clip further has a fixing limb with a limb end seated in a circuit board opening. The limb end of the fixing limb has an oversize relative to a circuit board opening, and a deformation being imparted to the contact clip, with an internal preload being generated.
