The grout cleaning tape can be provided as a replaceable grout cleaning cartridge containing a supply reel of grout cleaning tape that can be rolled across grout line grooves with an applicator roller. The grout cleaning tape can include a composition therein that is configured to be activated or enhanced by steam and transferred into the grout line to be cleaned when steam is applied to the tape.

A steam generator for a surface cleaning apparatus is described. The steam generator includes: a first chamber for generating steam and collecting scale; a water inlet disposed proximate a first end of the first chamber; a heater in thermal contact with the first chamber; a second chamber housed within the first chamber and in fluid communication with the first chamber; and a steam outlet for releasing steam and in fluid communication with the second chamber, wherein the steam outlet is disposed distal to the first end of the first chamber.

A steam mop includes a housing comprising a foot assembly movable along a surface to be cleaned and a handle assembly coupled to the foot assembly, a supply tank for storing a supply of fluid, a steam generator fluidly coupled with the supply tank for producing steam from the fluid, and a light source selectively illuminating the supply tank.

An accessory for a surface cleaning device includes a steam inlet connected to a steam supply interface of the surface cleaning device. A shot accessory housing that has a rear end is connected to a main body of the surface cleaning device. A steam concentrating channel member is provided inside the shot accessory housing. The steam concentrating channel member includes a channel that extends along a linear channel axis. A front end of the channel forms a steam outlet and a rear end of the channel forms the steam inlet. A tapered hole section is located between the steam inlet and the steam outlet and is tapered toward the steam outlet. The accessory is configured such that the steam outlet faces a to-be-cleaned surface in an unobstructed manner along a shooting direction.

A steam cleaning apparatus for delivering steam of a surface to be cleaned is provided with a steam unit, a handle tube and an indexable base. The base can be indexed between a wide orientation where a long edge of the base is orthogonal to the direction of travel and a narrow orientation where a short edge of the base is orthogonal to the direction of travel.

A mop is disclosed. The mop includes a handle, an elongated shaft, a first reservoir, and a housing. Contained within the housing is a rolled cleaning fabric material cartridge, which can be pre-wetted or dry. The mop further includes one or more spray nozzles that are fluidly connected to the reservoir for dispensing a solution. A motor advances the cleaning fabric material, wherein the motor is preprogrammed to advance the material so that a completely new section of material covers the mop surface area and the used section of the material is advanced into said housing. The mop can further include a front extension on the leading edge of the housing that enables the cleaning fabric material to reach under the edge of a cabinet to increase the reach of the device.

A steam frame for a steam appliance has a body, a passageway in the body for passage of a fluid medium, and a member such as an unbalanced rotatable turbine in fluid communication with the passageway, where the member is capable of being engaged by the fluid medium to produce vibrations in the body for enhanced cleaning performance. A steam attachment includes a body, a pad covering at least a portion of the body, and a heating element coupled to the body. The heating element and vibration-producing member may be used separately or together.
