A dishwasher is provided that may include a tub; first and second racks disposed in the tub to accommodate objects to be washed; a lower arm having a lower arm chamber that allows wash water to flow thereinto, an arm channel that communicates with the lower arm chamber through an arm channel communication hole to spray the wash water onto the second rack, a detachable chamber separated from the lower arm chamber by a chamber partition wall, and a chamber communication hole provided in the chamber partition wall to allow the lower arm chamber to communicate with the detachable part chamber; a tower nozzle provided to the second rack to spray the wash water onto the first rack; and a tower connection part withdrawable from the detachable chamber according to water pressure in the detachable chamber and adapted to supply the wash water to the tower nozzle when withdrawn from the detachable chamber.

Spray arm assemblies and dishwasher appliances are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a spray arm assembly is provided. The spray arm assembly includes a first housing and a second housing having a mating wall. The first housing includes a first wall defining a groove that comprises an undercut, a second wall having an inner surface, and a channel defined by the first and second walls. The mating wall has a mating inner surface, defines a protrusion shaped complementary to the groove of the first wall, and fits within the channel to join the first and second housings. Further, the mating wall has an interference fit with the first wall and the second wall such that the mating inner surface of the mating wall fits against the inner surface of the second wall and the protrusion of the mating wall fits within the groove of the first wall.

Spray arm assemblies and dishwasher appliances are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a spray arm assembly is provided. The spray arm assembly includes a first housing and a second housing having a mating wall. The first housing includes a first wall defining a groove that comprises an undercut, a second wall having an inner surface, and a channel defined by the first and second walls. The mating wall has a mating inner surface, defines a protrusion shaped complementary to the groove of the first wall, and fits within the channel to join the first and second housings. Further, the mating wall has an interference fit with the first wall and the second wall such that the mating inner surface of the mating wall fits against the inner surface of the second wall and the protrusion of the mating wall fits within the groove of the first wall.

The present disclosure relates to a dish washer having a heat pump, and the dish washer may include a washing tank having an accommodation space for storing dishes therein; an injection arm disposed inside the washing tank, and provided with a plurality of nozzles to inject washing water or air to the dishes according to a washing stroke and a drying stroke; a duct unit that defines a passage for delivering air to the injection arm; a suction fan that suctions the air and supplies the air to the injection arm; and an air heating element provided inside the duct unit to heat the air to be supplied to the injection arm, wherein the injection arm is rotatably mounted about a rotary shaft, and the plurality of nozzles rotate the injection arm by a pressure that injects the air.

The present disclosure relates to a dish washer having a heat pump, and the dish washer may include a washing tank having an accommodation space for storing dishes therein; an injection arm disposed inside the washing tank, and provided with a plurality of nozzles to inject washing water or air to the dishes according to a washing stroke and a drying stroke; a duct unit that defines a passage for delivering air to the injection arm; a suction fan that suctions the air and supplies the air to the injection arm; and an air heating element provided inside the duct unit to heat the air to be supplied to the injection arm, wherein the injection arm is rotatably mounted about a rotary shaft, and the plurality of nozzles rotate the injection arm by a pressure that injects the air.

A nozzle assembly and a dishwasher having the same. The dishwasher includes a main body, a wash tub, and at least one first nozzle assembly to wash the objects received in the wash tub. The first nozzle assembly includes a main nozzle configured to be rotatable about a rotation axis thereof, plural injection holes, a first flow path defined in the main nozzle for movement of wash water to be sprayed out toward the objects, a sub nozzle provided at the main nozzle, the sub nozzle internally defining a second flow path for movement of wash water to be sprayed out in a radial direction of the main nozzle, and a valve coupled to the main nozzle to open or close the second flow path. Providing the nozzle assembly with the first and second flow paths independent of each other may reduce noise due to collision of wash water.

A nozzle assembly and a dishwasher having the same. The dishwasher includes a main body, a wash tub, and at least one first nozzle assembly to wash the objects received in the wash tub. The first nozzle assembly includes a main nozzle configured to be rotatable about a rotation axis thereof, plural injection holes, a first flow path defined in the main nozzle for movement of wash water to be sprayed out toward the objects, a sub nozzle provided at the main nozzle, the sub nozzle internally defining a second flow path for movement of wash water to be sprayed out in a radial direction of the main nozzle, and a valve coupled to the main nozzle to open or close the second flow path. A dishwasher comprises: (a) a washing chamber for accommodating articles to be cleaned, and comprising in its lower portion a water-collecting sump floor (12); (b) a spray arm (22) rotatably supported at the sump floor; in accordance with the present invention the dishwasher further comprises (c) a sump member (28) which comprises an insert in the sump floor (12) and which comprises an integral spray arm support (24) which rotatably supports the spray arm (22).

A dishwasher comprises: (a) a washing chamber for accommodating articles to be cleaned, and comprising in its lower portion a water-collecting sump floor (12); (b) a spray arm (22) rotatably supported at the sump floor; in accordance with the present invention the dishwasher further comprises (c) a sump member (28) which comprises an insert in the sump floor (12) and which comprises an integral spray arm support (24) which rotatably supports the spray arm (22).

A dishwasher for treating dishes according to an automatic cycle of operation includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber with an access opening, a sump fluidly coupled to the tub, and a liquid recirculation circuit fluidly coupling the sump to the treating chamber. The liquid recirculation circuit includes at least one rotating spray tube having a longitudinal body axis defining a rotational axis. A plurality of spray nozzles are provided in the rotating spray tube.
