A dishwasher is provided. The dishwasher includes a main body including a washing chamber and an input port for inputting dishes into the washing chamber; a door configured to hinge-connect at one end to the main body and open and close the washing chamber; and a door opening apparatus installed in the main body configured to open the door, wherein the door opening apparatus includes a thermally driven actuator configured to thermally expand and contract to make a plunger protrude, a movable member configured to linearly reciprocate when supplied with power from the thermally driven actuator, and a push portion configured to push the door so as to open the input port when supplied with power form the movable member.

A dishwasher is provided. The dishwasher has an inner container, a frame and a door body. The inner container has an accommodation cavity. The accommodation cavity has a forward-facing opening. The frame is connected to an outer surface of the inner container and extends along an edge of the opening of the accommodation cavity. A sealing groove is defined in the frame. Alternatively, the sealing groove is defined by enclosing the frame and the edge of the opening of the inner container. A sealing strip is disposed in the sealing groove. A door body is configured to open or close the opening of the accommodation cavity. The door body abuts against the sealing strip in response to the opening of the accommodation cavity being covered by the door body.

A window insert for a door includes opposing outer and inner panes, a spacer disposed between and spacing the panes, a first seal forming a seal between the panes, a frame having an outer frame element and an inner frame element sandwiching the panes, and a waterproof welded joint extending about the periphery of the frame elements.

A dishwasher has a tub that defines a treating chamber with an access opening. A door assembly selectively permits access to the treating chamber and may carry electronics for the dishwasher. Appropriately placed chamfered fins in a crown in the door aids in assuring a flush fit and finish in a front panel of the door assembly.

A dish treating appliance for treating dishes according to an automatic cycle of operation includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber for receiving dishes for treatment according to the automatic cycle of operation, an access opening provided in the tub and through which is had access to the treating chamber, and a door movable relative to the tub to selectively open and close the access opening, the door having an inner surface confronting the access opening when the door closes the access opening, an outer surface, opposite the inner surface, and a window assembly provided in the door and having inner and outer panes.

A dishwasher includes a door with at least a first part and a second part. The first part may be pivotally mounted to the dishwasher. The second part may be configured to be coupled to the first part for cooperative pivoting of the first part and the second part in one mode of operation. The second part may also be configured to move independently of the first part in another mode of operation.

A dishwasher includes a treating chamber for receiving dishes for treatment according to a cycle of operation and a door assembly selectively moveable to close an access opening to the treating chamber, the door assembly comprising a window assembly comprising first and second spaced window panes defining an intervening vacuum sealed chamber, a window assembly support frame provided on the door panel, and a seal provided between the window assembly support frame and the first and second panes and encapsulated by the window assembly support frame.

A dish treating appliance for treating dishes according to an automatic cycle of operation includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber for receiving dishes for treatment according to the automatic cycle of operation, an access opening provided in the tub and through which is had access to the treating chamber, and a door movable relative to the tub to selectively open and close the access opening, the door having an inner surface confronting the access opening when the door closes the access opening, an outer surface, opposite the inner surface, and a window assembly provided in the door and having inner and outer panes.

In a drawer-style washing appliance, such as a drawer-style dishwasher 100, a tub flange 301 is provided with drainage-facilitating features 167 to encourage draining of any pooled washing liquid on the upper surface of the tub flange during a washing cycle, which would otherwise remain there after opening of the drawer. The drainage features may be one or more ridge 168 or channel on/in the surface of the tub flange, particularly at or about the inner peripheral edge 304 of the tub flange. Alternatively, the drainage-facilitating features may be provided on the underside of the tub lid 201 in a region that will come into contact with the tub flange when the lid is lowered to seal the tub during a washing cycle.
