Devices and methods for delivery of medical tools

An endoscopic cap assembly may include a sleeve and a cap. The cap may include a cap channel extending along an external surface of the cap. The cap may also include an engagement feature extending radially outwardly from the external surface of the cap.

Endoscope treatment tool and endoscope system

An endoscope treatment tool includes: a cylindrical cap attached to an outer side of a distal-end section of an endoscope and having first and second radial directions intersecting each other; a treatment tool supported at an outer side of the cap in the first radial direction to be movable in the longitudinal direction; and a linear flexible coupling member coupling the treatment tool with the cap such that the grasper reaches a position where the grasper protrudes from a distal end of the cap. A swing section of the coupling member couples the cap with the treatment tool to allow relative movement in the second radial direction, and, in response to pressed forward in the longitudinal direction by the treatment tool, swings about a swing axis extending in the second radial direction while generating a tensile force and bending the treatment tool inward in the first radial direction.

MEDICAL SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND RELATED METHODS

In one example, a medical device may be adapted for use with a delivery device, and the medical device may include a handle including at least one actuator; a body adapted to releasably mount to a distal portion of the delivery device, the body supporting a pair of jaws rotatably coupled to the body; and a control wire coupled to the pair of jaws and the actuator. The actuator may be configured to open and close the pair of jaws.

STENT DELIVERY UNDER DIRECT VISUALIZATION
20220125611 · 2022-04-28 ·

Stent delivery under direct visualization utilizing an imaging hood is described herein. A stent may be delivered and placed in or around lesions, e.g., ostial lesions, through a delivery catheter while being directly visualized via an imaging hood. A pre-delivery assessment probe may also be advanced to the desired site for accurate placement of the stent.

COUPLER DEVICE FOR AN ENDOSCOPE

An endoscope accessory, such as a coupler device, is provided that includes a main body with a visualization section for allowing viewing of tissue by the endoscope and a proximal end configured for attachment to a distal end portion of the endoscope. The device includes a passage within the main body having an exit portal and a proximal end aligned with the working channel of the endoscope. An instrument passing through the passage is capable of angular adjustment relative to the main body of the coupler device by actuation of the endoscope.

Tip part for a vision device

A tip part for an endoscope has a vision receptor having a vision sensor for providing an image from received light, a first lens, and a casing, the casing supporting the first lens so that the casing substantially maintains a position of the first lens in relation to the vision sensor; a first light source; an exterior housing; and a light shield positioned between the vision receptor and the first light source so as to prevent ingress of stray light from the first light source into the vision receptor by optically shielding the vision receptor; wherein the casing is formed integrally with the exterior housing so that the casing also substantially maintains the first lens in a position in relation to the exterior housing.

Endoscope, method for operating an endoscope and method for producing an endoscope

An endoscope, especially a mediastinoscope, includes an elongated shaft and a head piece situated at a proximal end section of the shaft, wherein a heat source is arranged in the head piece. At least one heat pipe extends inside the shaft, wherein a proximal end section of the at least one heat pipe is thermally coupled to the heat source and the endoscope includes an optical system which is closed by a cover glass arranged in a distal end section of the shaft. The heat source is a light source for generating an illumination radiation. The at least one heat pipe extends in the distal direction as far as the distal end section of the shaft, and at least one distal end section of the heat pipe is thermally coupled to the distal end section of the shaft.

Access devices and methods for treatment of medical conditions and delivery of injectables

Disclosed are access devices that can be used to safely guide instruments, such as EP ablation catheters, to a therapy site such one within the pericardial space of the heart. The access devices include integrated visualization, illumination, stabilization, and safety features in a single platform that can, for example, more safely and efficiently identify and ablate several ventricular tachycardia (VT) locations on the left ventricle of the heart.

IMPLANTING SYSTEM FOR IMPLANTING A TOTALLY IMPLANTABLE DEVICE IN A HUMAN OR ANIMAL BODY

The implanting system (1) for implanting a totally implantable device (2) in a human or animal body comprises an introducing device (3) equipped with at least one operative channel (4a, 4b) and a transparent cover element (11) detachably attached to a distal end (6) of said introducing device (3), the cover element (11) has a rounded configuration that is outwardly convex and facilitates the sliding of said introducing device (3).

Surgical instruments with reflective mirror-like surfaces

Systems, devices, and methods for providing a surgeon with improved viewing angles during arthroscopic surgical procedures are provided. In some embodiments, a cannula is provided that includes an elongate body that can extend along a longitudinal axis, the body having a proximal end, a distal end, a lumen extending through the body between openings at the proximal and distal ends. The cannula can have a first flange member that can extend at least partially around at least one of the openings, and the first flange member can have a distal-facing surface, where at least a portion of the distal-facing surface can be reflective.
