ENDOSCOPE
There is provided an endoscope that allows treatment, which uses treatment tools, to be performed accurately.
An observation window is disposed across a vertical axis in a distal end surface region positioned above a horizontal axis; a first treatment tool outlet port is disposed across the vertical axis in a distal end surface region positioned below the horizontal axis; a second treatment tool outlet port is disposed across the horizontal axis in a distal end surface region positioned below a line, which passes through a center of the observation window and is parallel to the horizontal axis, and in a distal end surface region positioned on a left side of the vertical axis; and a front water supply port is mainly disposed in the distal end surface region positioned below the line, which passes through the center of the observation window and is parallel to the horizontal axis, and in a distal end surface region positioned on a side opposite to the second treatment tool outlet port with respect to a line that passes through a center of the first treatment tool outlet port and is parallel to the vertical axis.
SURGICAL VISUALIZATION SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
Surgical visualization systems and related methods are disclosed herein, e.g., for providing visualization during surgical procedures. Systems and methods herein can be used in a wide range of surgical procedures, including spinal surgeries such as minimally-invasive fusion or discectomy procedures. Systems and methods herein can include various features for enhancing end user experience, improving clinical outcomes, or reducing the invasiveness of a surgery. Exemplary features can include access port integration, hands-free operation, active and/or passive lens cleaning, adjustable camera depth, and many others.
Integrated multi-functional endoscopic tool
A system for extending the visual capabilities and working channel of a bronchoscope including a probe having optic and/or tracking capabilities at a distal tip thereof and capable of being advanced through the working channel of a standard bronchoscope. The probe also includes a working channel through which various diagnostic and treatment tools may be advanced.
ASSIST DEVICE AND ENDOSCOPIC SYSTEM
An assist device includes: a connecting section communicatively connected to the channel; a holding section attached to an outer side of either the insertion section of the endoscope or an operation section connected to the insertion section; and a flexible section forming an insertion path through which the treatment instrument is inserted, and including an expansion-and-contraction section including a more deformable structure than any other parts in an entire length between one end and another end of the flexible section. The flexible section is connected to the connecting section at the one end and connected to the holding section at the another end.
ENDOSCOPIC SYSTEM
An endoscope including an insertion portion which is provided with a channel to insert a treatment instrument therethrough, an operation portion which is operated the insertion portion, and an operation lever which holds and moves the treatment instrument to transmit force of the operation to the treatment instrument; and an assistant instrument which assists the movement of the treatment instrument, the assistant instrument comprising a flexible tube in which the insertion path is formed to insert the treatment instrument, a coupling portion which is formed so that the channel is coupled to the insertion path, and a holding portion which is attached to the vicinity of the other end of the flexible tube and which holds the operation portion so that the other end of the flexible tube faces toward the side where the operation lever is disposed.
Illuminator Circuit Board Assembly for An Endoscope
The present specification describes a circuit board design that uses circuit boards for illuminator sets associated with the various optical assemblies. In one configuration, front and side illuminators are assembled on front and side illuminator circuit boards. Leaf connectors associated with each illuminator are provided to interface with a common base board.
Flexible electronic circuit board for a multi-camera endoscope
There is provided herein a flexible electronic circuit board for a tip section of a multi-camera endoscope, the circuit board comprising a front camera surface configured to carry a forward looking camera, a first side camera surface configured to carry a first side looking camera, a second side camera surface configured to carry a second side looking camera, one or more front illuminator surfaces a configured to carry one or more front illuminators to essentially illuminate the FOV of the forward looking camera, one or more side illuminator surfaces configured to carry one or more side illuminators to essentially illuminate the FOV of the first side looking camera and one or more side illuminator surfaces configured to carry one or more side illuminators to essentially illuminate the FOV of the second side looking camera.
Endoscope
An endoscope includes an insertion part that includes a distal end and a proximal end, a distal-end-portion body that is provided on a distal end side of the insertion part, and an ultrasound transducer that is provided on a distal end side of the distal-end-portion body. The distal-end-portion body includes a pair of walls, a standing base that is disposed in a space formed by the pair of walls and connected to a treatment tool outlet, an observation window that is disposed on one wall of the pair of walls, and a nozzle that is provided on the flat surface opposite to the space across the observation window and ejects washing water to the observation window. The wall surface of the other wall of the pair of walls is positioned on an extension of an ejection direction of the washing water to be ejected from the nozzle.
ASSIST DEVICE AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
An assist device which is applied to a treatment instrument including an insertion body to be inserted through a channel of an endoscope, and which is configured to assist movement of the insertion body relative to the channel, includes: a flexible tube including a passage into which the insertion body of the treatment instrument is inserted; a connector provided on the flexible tube and configured to connect to the endoscope to allow communication between the channel and the passage; a first retainer provided on the flexible tube and configured to hold an outer circumference of an insertion section of the endoscope or an outer circumference of an operation section connected to the insertion section; and a second retainer being movable relative to the first retainer and configured to hold the insertion body of the treatment instrument.
SURGICAL CONSOLE, SPECIMEN RECEIVER, AND INSERTABLE ENDOSCOPIC INSTRUMENT FOR TISSUE REMOVAL
A surgical console includes a drive assembly, vacuum interface, fluid transfer device, user interface, and control circuit. The drive assembly is configured to be coupled to an endoscopic tool and to be rotated by a motor. The vacuum interface is configured to apply a vacuum to the endoscopic tool. The fluid transfer device is configured to flow fluid through the endoscopic tool. The user interface is configured to receive a user input indicating at least one of instructions to rotate the endoscopic tool while applying the vacuum, or to flow fluid through the endoscopic tool. The control circuit controls at least one of the drive assembly, the vacuum interface, or the fluid transfer device based on the instructions, and is configured to cause the drive assembly to rotate the endoscopic tool while the vacuum interface applies the vacuum responsive to the user input indicating instructions to rotate the endoscopic tool.
