The endoscope includes an insertion portion configured to be inserted into a subject, an operation portion provided on a proximal end side of the insertion portion, and an angle knob provided on the operation portion for operating the bending portion; and an opening provided in the operation portion, wherein the opening is connected to a lumen provided in the endoscope. The suction unit includes a suction conduit, a protrusion inserted into the opening, and a suction button. In a side view perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the angle knob, a center of a top surface of the suction button, a center of the opening, and the angle knob are arranged along an imaginary straight line with the center of the opening located between the center of the top surface of the suction button and the angle knob.
Surgical visualization systems and related methods
Surgical visualization systems and related methods are disclosed herein, e.g., for providing visualization during surgical procedures. Systems and methods herein can be used in a wide range of surgical procedures, including spinal surgeries such as minimally-invasive fusion or discectomy procedures. Systems and methods herein can include various features for enhancing end user experience, improving clinical outcomes, or reducing the invasiveness of a surgery. Exemplary features can include access port integration, hands-free operation, active and/or passive lens cleaning, adjustable camera depth, and many others.
Sheath for an endoscope
A sheath includes a sheath body, an inflow port at a proximal end of the sheath body, an outflow port at the proximal end of the sheath body, and a plurality of radially expandable flexible members which extend along a length of the sheath body. The plurality of radially expandable flexible members are attached to the sheath body at a plurality of anchor points along the length of the sheath body. The plurality of radially expandable flexible members expand during active fluid inflow. The radially expandable flexible members are spaced apart along the sheath body to define one or more isolated spaces that extend between adjacent radially expandable flexible members when the radially expandable flexible members are inflated within a body passage.
Distal-end cover for endoscope, and endoscope
A distal-end cover is attached to a distal frame portion of an insertion portion of an endoscope main body, along a longitudinal axis of the insertion portion. The distal-end cover includes a cover main body attached to the distal frame portion and a wall provided on the cover main body. The wall is provided between a tube and a raising portion closer to the distal-end side along the longitudinal axis than a first opening edge portion of the distal frame portion when the cover main body is attached to an outside of the distal frame portion along the longitudinal axis of the insertion portion. The wall is deformed by the tube and an elongated member when the cover main body is removed from the outside of the distal frame portion.
Ear visualization and treatment system
A device for visualizing and providing suction for a surgical procedure in an ear may include a handle, a main shaft extending from the handle, an imaging sensor at a distal end of the main shaft, a light source at the distal end of the main shaft, and a suction shaft extending from the handle. The device may also include a spring coupled with the suction shaft and/or the handle, such that when the suction shaft is advanced in a distal direction and then released, the suction shaft retracts automatically. The suction shaft may have a distal curved portion, and the device may have a thumb depress portion that allows a user to spin the suction shaft to suction in different directions. Some embodiments may include a suction shaft with a sharp distal tip that is configured for placing an ear tube in the tympanic membrane.
EFFICIENT MULTI-FUNCTIONAL ENDOSCOPIC INSTRUMENT
An instrument for endoscopic applications, including urology. The instrument may include both irrigation and aspiration channels, effective attraction and suction of tissue and body stone fragments, enhanced viewing clarity of the operational area, illumination fibers with steering function for flexible version of the scopes. In some embodiments, a distal head is configured to locate a mouth of the working channel within a viewing angle of the visualization system. In some embodiments, a transparent cap is disposed at the distal end of endoscope to provide an enhanced view of the operational area. Irrigation and aspiration channels may be arranged so that consistent water flow will attract tissue and body stone particles and remove heated liquid. Illumination fibers may be utilized as pull linkages or push-pull linkages for deflection and steering of flexible embodiments of the scope.
ENDOSCOPE AND SUCTION-TARGET-OBJECT SUCTION METHOD
An insertion device includes an insertion portion having an outer peripheral surface and configured to be inserted into a subject, and a suction pipeline provided on the outer peripheral surface of the insertion portion. The suction pipeline is switchable from a first state to a second state and the suction pipeline is configured to maintain the second state. In the first state, a distal end of the suction pipeline is folded, and in the second state, the distal end of the suction pipeline is unfolded.
DIRECT-VISION ABORTION UTERINE CURETTAGE DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A direct-vision abortion uterine curettage device and a direct-vision abortion uterine curettage system are provided. The direct-vision abortion uterine curettage device includes a uterine curettage mechanism, an observation mechanism, a circuit, a negative pressure suction mechanism and an operating rod. A diagnostic curette of the uterine curettage mechanism is arranged at front ends of the operating rod and a camera and is in a visual field of the camera. The camera being mounted at the rear may guarantee that the diagnostic curette is completely within a range of the visual field of the camera, so that an operation procedure may be fully visible without any observation blind areas. Meanwhile, there will be no operation blind spots due to the diagnostic curette being blocked by a height of a lens module itself The direct-vision abortion uterine curettage system can perform surgical operations under real-time display of a display system.
Method of operating surgical system
A method of operating a surgical system including an endoscope, a treatment tool, an overtube, and a sheathing tube. The method includes the following steps: removing the treatment tool from the sheathing tube inserted into a body cavity through a body wall in a state where the sheathing tube is covering an outer circumference of the overtube into which an insertion part of the endoscope and an insertion part of the treatment tool are inserted, while keeping a state where the sheathing tube is covering the outer circumference of the overtube; removing the endoscope from the overtube while keeping a state where the sheathing tube is covering the outer circumference of the overtube; and removing the sheathing tube from the body wall while keeping a state where the sheathing tube is covering the outer circumference of the overtube.
ENDOSCOPIC SUTURE CINCH
A method cinches a suture. The method provides a cinch having a suture capturing portion configured to capture a suture, a cinch lock coupled with the suture capturing portion, and a cinch anchor having a lumen. The suture capturing portion is extended out of the lumen to capture the suture. The suture is captured by the suture capturing portion. The suture capturing portion is retracted into the lumen of the cinch anchor. The suture is cinched between the cinch lock and the cinch anchor.
