Apparatus and method for adjusting a mower deck on a mower

An apparatus, system and method for raising or lowering a mower deck on a stand-on, zero-turn mower. The apparatus is a mower that includes a hydraulic cylinder and piston which are selectively engaged with a deck hanging assembly used to secure the mower deck to the mower's frame. The deck hanging assembly includes a pivot rod from which one or more tabs extend. The piston is selectively engaged with the one or more tabs. When extended from the cylinder, the piston rotates the tabs and thereby the pivot rod in a first direction and lowers the mower deck. When retracted into the cylinder the piston rotates the tabs and thereby the piston in a second direction and raises the mower deck. When the hydraulic system is disengaged from the mower deck, the deck may be manually raised or lowered.

A turplaner is described comprising a rotational elongated cutter comprising a first side and a second side and a lift mechanism capable of independently altering a cut height of the first side of the rotational cutter and the second side of said rotational cutter based on a deviation between cut height and a desired cut profile. A hierarchical controller is in functional communication with the lift mechanism wherein the lift mechanism alters the cut height based on the deviation of cut height relative to the desired cut profile in response to the functional communication. The hierarchical controller comprises a laser guidance system comprising a planer laser beam, extending over the area, and at least one laser receiver on at least one of the first side or the second side wherein the laser receiver is a laser height above the cut height and in functional communication with the hierarchical controller. The laser receiver is capable of receiving the planer laser beam and the hierarchical controller is capable of determining and minimizing a deviation between the cut height and the desired cut profile based on the laser receiver location relative to the planer laser beam. At least one autograde device is in functional communication with said hierarchical controller. An autodepth device is in functional communication with the hierarchical controller wherein the autodepth device comprises a mechanism for measuring a cut depth in the area. The hierarchical controller communicates a height adjustment based on the autodepth device if a cut depth exceeds a predetermined depth limit, the autograde if the laser receiver is not within a predetermined range and otherwise the laser receiver.

STALK PULLER

A stalk puller to be used with or without a mower/shredder utilizes a pair of independently mounted discs converging along their lower edge to grasp and pull stalks from the ground as the stalk puller is moved down the row by a prime mover. At least one of the discs is urged against the other by a spring such that the associated disc may allow rocks and debris to pass between the discs without damage. The spring mounting reduces adjustments due to normal wear as well as damage from debris.

Wheel for lawn mower robot and lawn mower robot including the same

A wheel for a lawn mower robot includes a structure in which grass seeds can be discharged during a rotation of the wheel. Accordingly, grass seeds are shown as the lawn mower robot travels while performing a lawn mowing task. Therefore, a task of mowing the lawn and a task of sowing seeds can be performed in a unified manner. Thus, the lawn can be managed more efficiently.

SYSTEM FOR FORWARD MOUNTING ATTACHMENTS TO A WHEELED VEHICLE
20180192589 · 2018-07-12 · ·

An apparatus, system, and method of securing attachments to a utility vehicle, particularly a stand-on, zero-turn mower. The apparatus includes an A-shaped mounting assembly having a base with first and second ends and a tubular member extending outwardly from the first end. The tubular member defines a bore that receives a shaft extending from the attachment. The mounting assembly is positioned vertically above a mower deck but on an opposite side of the frame of the mower relative thereto. The second end of the mounting assembly and part of the mower deck are secured to the frame using the same connectors. A hydraulic actuator engages a forwardmost end of the assembly and is actuatable to raise or lower the assembly relative to the frame, pivoting the assembly about the connectors. The attachment and mower deck are substantially simultaneously operable to perform separate landscaping tasks while the mower moves across a surface.
