BATTERY MODULE FOR A TRACTION BATTERY OF AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A battery module for a traction battery of an electric vehicle is described. The battery module has two side parts arranged on opposite sides of the battery module and aligned substantially parallel to an electrode surface of cells of the battery module. At least one of the side parts has an elastic region offset from a main extension plane of the side part. The elastic region is adapted to exert a pressing force perpendicular to the electrode surface on the cells.

CELL CASE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CELL CASE
A cell case includes (i) first and second metal plates constituting a first part of the cell case and placed such that the first and second metal plates are separated from each other (ii) a resin portion provided between the metal plates such that the resin portion connects the first and second metal plates. The first metal plate and the second metal plate include a first overlapped portion and a second overlapped portion, respectively, such that the first overlapped portion and the second overlapped portion overlap with each other via the resin portion. The first overlapped portion includes a hook. The second overlapped portion has an opening. The hook is formed to be caught on the opening to restrict relative displacement between the first metal plate and the second metal plate along a direction where the first metal plate and the second metal plate are separated from each other.

Lithium ion battery module having a compartmentalized housing
A lithium-ion battery module includes a housing having a plurality of partitions configured to define a plurality of compartments within a housing. The battery module also includes a lithium-ion cell element provided in each of the compartments of the housing. The battery module further includes a cover coupled to the housing and configured to route electrolyte into each of the compartments. The cover is also configured to seal the compartments of the housing.
SHEET METAL ASSEMBLY HAVING ONE STIFFENING MEMBERS WITH A PREDETERMINED DRAW DEPTH
A sheet metal assembly includes a drawn metal sheet constructed of a metal material. The drawn metal sheet defines a surface and includes one or more stiffening features disposed along the drawn metal sheet. The one or more stiffening features represents a raised area disposed along the surface of the drawn metal sheet. Each of the one or more stiffening features include a predefined draw depth ranging from about twenty millimeters to about eighty millimeters.
