The cap assembly includes: a cap plate including a main portion and a convex portion, wherein the main portion includes a first surface, a second surface and an electrode lead-out hole; an electrode terminal including an extension portion that extends beyond a hole wall of the electrode lead-out hole and extends in a circumferential direction of the electrode lead-out hole to form a ring structure, and the extension portion is arranged on a side of the first surface away from the second surface; and a sealing ring at least partially disposed between the extension portion and the main portion, wherein the convex portion is disposed on the second surface and around the electrode lead-out hole and has a thickness of 0.01 mm to 2 mm, a top surface of the convex portion extends out of the second surface.

BATTERY ARRANGEMENT

A battery arrangement has at least two battery modules each having a battery module housing. Each battery module housing has at least two chambers separated from one another by a dividing wall, in which chambers in each case at least one cell stack is disposed. The cell stack has at least two stacked battery cells and at least one compression pad. A thermal insulation layer is provided in each case between the dividing wall and the adjacent battery cells. The distance between the dividing wall and a battery cell adjacent to the dividing wall of a predefined first cell stack is at least twice as great as the distance between two adjacent battery cells within the predefined first cell stack.

BATTERY ARRANGEMENT

A battery arrangement has at least two battery modules each having a battery module housing. Each battery module housing has at least two chambers separated from one another by a dividing wall, in which chambers in each case at least one cell stack is disposed. The cell stack has at least two stacked battery cells and at least one compression pad. A thermal insulation layer is provided in each case between the dividing wall and the adjacent battery cells. The distance between the dividing wall and a battery cell adjacent to the dividing wall of a predefined first cell stack is at least twice as great as the distance between two adjacent battery cells within the predefined first cell stack.

SECONDARY BATTERY AND DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

A secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a jelly-roll type electrode assembly; a top insulator located at the top of the electrode assembly; and a bottom insulator located at the bottom of the electrode assembly, wherein at least one of the top insulator and the bottom insulator includes a temperature-sensitive polymer that swells in accordance with a temperature rise.

The battery module includes a plurality of cylindrical battery cells each respectively having electrode terminals; a module case having an accommodation portion in which the plurality of cylindrical battery cells are accommodated; a bus bar including a plate-shaped and electrically conductive body portion, and a connection portion configured to contact the electrode terminals to electrically connect the plurality of cylindrical battery cells to each other; an electrically insulating insulation sheet covering an outer side of the bus bar, the insulation sheet having an exposure hole through which at least a part of the bus bar is exposed to an outside; and an electrically insulating adhesive on the at least a part of the bus bar exposed to the outside through the exposure hole of the insulation sheet.

Disclosed is a battery module and a battery pack with improved durability. The battery module includes a plurality of cylindrical battery cells each respectively having electrode terminals; a module case having an accommodation portion in which the plurality of cylindrical battery cells are accommodated; a bus bar including a plate-shaped and electrically conductive body portion, and a connection portion configured to contact the electrode terminals to electrically connect the plurality of cylindrical battery cells to each other; an electrically insulating insulation sheet covering an outer side of the bus bar, the insulation sheet having an exposure hole through which at least a part of the bus bar is exposed to an outside; and an electrically insulating adhesive on the at least a part of the bus bar exposed to the outside through the exposure hole of the insulation sheet.
