A lithium primary battery including a battery case, an electrode group housed in the battery case, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a non-aqueous solvent, a solute, and an additive. The electrode group includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator interposed therebetween. The negative electrode includes a metal lithium or lithium alloy foil, and has a shape having a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction, with a long tape attached to at least one principal surface of the negative electrode along the longitudinal direction. The tape includes a resin base material and an adhesive layer, and has a width of 0.5 mm to 3 mm. The additive includes a phosphorus compound having a PO.sub.n structure having a phosphorus atom and n oxygen atoms bonded to the phosphorus atom, where n=3 or 4.

LITHIUM PRIMARY BATTERY

A lithium primary battery including a battery case, an electrode group housed in the battery case, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a non-aqueous solvent, a solute, and an additive. The electrode group includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator interposed therebetween. The negative electrode includes a metal lithium or lithium alloy foil, and has a shape having a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction, with a long tape attached to at least one principal surface of the negative electrode along the longitudinal direction. The tape includes a resin base material and an adhesive layer, and has a width of 0.5 mm to 3 mm. The present disclosure provides a sealing plate including a gas release vent capable of suppressing scattering of a metallic fragment during activation. A gas release vent of a sealing plate disclosed herein includes: a base portion with a flat plate shape; a thin portion which is thinner than the base portion; a groove portion formed in the thin portion; and a valve element formed inside the groove portion. In addition, the groove portion has a remaining portion which is a region with a larger remaining thickness as compared to another region of the groove portion. The remaining portion of the groove portion is formed in a region including one intersection point among two intersection points where a straight line which passes a center of the gas release vent and which extends in a short-side direction of the sealing plate intersects the groove portion with the approximately annular shape.

Secondary battery

The present disclosure provides a secondary battery, which includes an electrode assembly, a case, a cap assembly and a first insulating tape. The electrode assembly comprises an electrode unit. The electrode unit comprises a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate and a separator. The electrode unit is a winding structure and in a flat shape, and an outermost turn of the negative electrode plate is positioned at an outer side of an outermost turn of the positive electrode plate. The case comprises a first side wall and an accommodating cavity, the electrode assembly is accommodated in the accommodating cavity, the case is electrically connected with the positive electrode plate, and the cap assembly is connected with the case. The first insulating tape is positioned between the electrode assembly and the first side wall and closely attached to an outer surface of the electrode assembly.

SECONDARY BATTERY

A secondary battery includes: a positive electrode having a positive-electrode current collector and a positive-electrode active-material layer; a negative electrode having a negative-electrode current collector and a negative-electrode active-material layer; a electrolyte; and an insulating tape covering a portion of the positive electrode. Furthermore, the positive-electrode current collector has an exposed section that the positive-electrode active-material layer is not disposed. In addition, at least a portion of the exposed section is covered with the insulating tape; the insulating tape has a substrate material layer and an adhesive layer; and the adhesive layer includes an adhesive agent and an insulating inorganic material.

The insulating adhesive tape includes a first adhesive-tape surface and a second adhesive-tape surface arranged opposite to each other in the second direction, and a first adhesive-tape end and a second adhesive-tape end arranged opposite to each other in the first direction. The insulating adhesive tape is attached to the separator body in the first direction, and the first adhesive-tape surface is arranged at a position corresponding to the first separator surface. The insulating adhesive tape extends from the first separator end to the second separator end in the first direction.
