A molded connector (10) includes a terminal fitting (2) connected to a cable (11), a terminal holding member (3) including a resin and holding the terminal fitting (2), and a molded resin portion (4) formed by injection molding using a mold (5) and holding the terminal holding member (3) and an end portion of the cable (11). The terminal holding member (3) includes a main body (30) holding the terminal fitting (2) and protruding portion (31) that is formed protruding from the main body (30) and includes a tip end surface (31a) in contact with an inner surface of a cavity (5a) in the mold (5) during injection molding. The protruding portion (31) is locked to a locking portion (521) provided on the mold (5 to restrict the movement of the terminal holding member (3) during injection molding. At least a part of the protruding portion (31) is fusion-bonded to the molded resin portion (4).
WIRE WITH TERMINAL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A method for manufacturing a terminal-attached electric wire including an electric wire including a core wire having plurality of strand wires, and a female terminal including wire barrels crimped around the core wire. The method includes a first step of applying ultrasonic vibrations to the core wire, and a second step of crimping the wire barrels in a region of the core wire to which ultrasonic vibrations have been applied. The first step includes applying ultrasonic vibrations to the core wire while leaving a compression margin for the crimping by the second step such that the resistance between the electric wire and the female terminal is stabilized until the strand wires of the terminal-attached electric wire are severed when the core wire of the terminal-attached electric wire is further compressed after the second step.
FEMALE TERMINAL FITTING
Provided is a female terminal fitting that can realize a state in which an elastic contact piece stably engages a main body part. A female terminal fitting includes a tubular main body part and an elastic contact piece that is provided inside the main body part and deflectively deforms in the plate thickness direction. The main body part has a right side plate. The right side plate is provided with a right rear opening. An edge part of the right rear opening is provided with a first regulating part bent to the inner side of the main body part. The elastic contact piece has a rear side projecting part positioned in the right rear opening and a region opposing the first regulating part in the plate thickness direction of the elastic contact piece together with the rear side projecting part.
FEMALE TERMINAL FITTING
Provided is a female terminal fitting capable of improving the durability of an elastic contact piece. A female terminal fitting (10) includes a tubular main body part (20) and an elastic contact piece (40) extending, inside the main body part (20), from a support point part (41) to a free end part (42) and contacting a partner-side male tab (120) inserted in the main body part (20). The free end part (42) side of the elastic contact piece (40) displaces in the plate thickness direction of the elastic contact piece (40). The main body part (20) has a first regulating part (31) and a second regulating part (32) that come in contact with the elastic contact piece (40) and regulate a displacement range of the free end part (42) side to less than or equal to the plate thickness of the elastic contact piece (40).
Electrical terminal and connector assembly
In some embodiments, an electrical terminal includes a contact formed and a hood surrounding the contact. The contact and hood have cooperating retention features for securing the contact to the hood, and the hood provides strengthening features for improving the mechanical properties of the contact. The electrical terminal is mounted in a connector assembly. The electrical terminal has features which prevent or minimize damage to a seal of the connector assembly.
Tin-plated copper terminal material, terminal, and electric-wire terminal structure
Provided is a tin-plated copper terminal material, a terminal formed from the terminal material, and an electric-wire terminal structure using the terminal: the terminal material has a substrate of copper or a copper alloy; an intermediate zinc layer of a zinc alloy that is formed on the substrate and has a thickness of 0.10 μm to 5.00 μm; and a tin layer of tin or a tin alloy that is formed on the intermediate zinc layer and in which the length proportion occupied by low-angle grain boundaries is 2% to 30% with respect to the total length of all crystal grain boundaries; wherein galvanic corrosion is effectively suppressed.
Electrical terminal for terminating a wide size range of magnet wires
An electrical terminal for terminating magnet wire. The terminal includes a mating portion and a wire barrel positioned in line with the mating portion. The wire barrel has a first asymmetrical termination section and a second asymmetrical termination section, with the first termination section provided in line with the second termination section.
