SYSTEM AND APPARATUSES FOR COMMUNICATION PORT CORD RETENTION
A single manufactured piece of injection molded or 3D (three-dimensional) printed plastic, metal, rubber, or wax is provided. The piece is adapted to fit around a communication port receptacle and a corresponding portion of a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) where the communication port receptacle is located on the PCB. The piece includes a latch adapted to push down on a tab of a connector for a cord when the connector is inserted into the communication port receptacle to hold the connector within the communication port receptacle.
CONNECTOR
A connector 10 disclosed by this specification is to be mounted on a circuit board having lands and includes a housing 12 to be connected to a mating housing, and a pair of pegs (board fixing portions) 16 to be respectively mounted into both side portions of the housing 12 and soldered and fixed to the lands. The pair of pegs 16 respectively have peg-side contact surfaces (fixing portion-side contact surfaces) 26S to be held in surface contact with a pair of housing-side contact surfaces 52S located on both side surfaces of the housing 12. The housing 12 includes a pair of first projections (projections) 64 projecting toward back surfaces 26B of the pair of pegs 16 on sides opposite to the peg-side contact surfaces 26S.
Retainers with movable hooks
In an example, a retainer may include a post to insertably engage with a post receptacle on a system board, and a hook hingeably attached to the post. The hook may be movable from a first position, lateral to a longitudinal axis of the post, to a second position aligned with the longitudinal axis of the post. In some implementations, the hook may be spaced from a top surface of the post when disposed in the second position so as to receive a portion of an expansion component between the hook and the post when the hook is disposed in the second position.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS WITH LINK MEMBERS
An example electrical connector includes a body to receive a circuit board. The body includes a first end and a second end. The electrical connector also includes a first latch rotatably attaches to the first end. The electrical connector further includes a second latch rotatably attaches to the second end. The electrical connector further includes a link member attached to the body. In response to a rotation of the first latch, the link member is to slide across the body from the first latch towards the second latch to rotate the second latch.
RUGGED MEMORY MODULE RETAINER CLIP SYSTEM
A memory module testing system operating in a vibratory environment can retain a memory module in place in a memory socket using both socket latches and a retainer clip. The retainer clip can attach to a module support tower of the memory socket. The retainer clip can have a flexible multi-spring structure forming a three-axis vibration dampening system that can prevent the socket latches from opening while testing in the test environment. The retainer clip can secure the socket latches using an upper flange and a lower flange to prevent unintended motion of the socket latches. The retainer clip can be secured to the module support towers at the ends of the memory socket using clip arms and clip arm tips to attach to the module support towers.
Connector and connection system
A connector includes contacts, a housing and a mounting metal fitting. The mounting metal fitting possesses a joined section to be joined to a substrate. The joined section is exposed from a back surface of the housing. Each of the contacts possesses an exposed section exposed from the back surface of the housing. The housing possesses a protrusion and a recess. The protrusion is provided between the joined section and at least part of the exposed sections of the contacts, and protrudes from the back surface. The recess is provided between the protrusion and at least part of the exposed sections of the contacts, and is set lower than an end face of the protrusion to face the substrate.
Substrate electrical connector with terminals in accommodating holes
An electrical connector includes a substrate and multiple terminals. The substrate is provided with multiple accommodating holes running through the substrate vertically. A shielding member is provided on a lower surface of the substrate. The terminals are correspondingly accommodated in the accommodating holes respectively. The terminals include multiple signal terminals and at least one ground terminal. An interval exists between the ground terminal and the shielding member. The ground terminal has a conducting portion extending downward out of a corresponding accommodating hole. The conducting portion is soldered to a main circuit board through a solder, and the solder is in contact with the conducting portion and the shielding member. According to the present invention, the conducting portion of the ground terminal is connected with the shielding member through the solder, thereby reducing a spurious charge, reducing the capacitance, and improving a high frequency.
Memory module connector, memory module, and pivotable latch
A memory module connector includes a memory module receiving slot configured to receive a memory module. The memory module connector further includes a restraining mechanism configured to release the memory module if a force applied by the memory module to the restraining mechanism is above a pre-determined force threshold.
Connector and connector assembly
A connector body includes mating guide parts formed on each longitudinal end and mating with counterpart mating guide parts formed on both longitudinal ends of a counterpart connector body of a counterpart connector. Each reinforcing bracket includes a pair of left/right slide guides disposed on the mating guide parts and being engageable with a pair of left/right slide engagement parts of a counterpart reinforcing bracket mounted to a counterpart mating guide part. One reinforcing bracket further includes a receiving member capable of emerging/submerging. When the counterpart mating guide part is mated with the mating guide part, the receiving member submerges. When the slide engagement part engages with the slide guide and the counterpart mating guide part slides on the mating guide part, the receiving member emerges and latches the counterpart mating guide part.
Board-to-board connector assembly for add-in cards
A board-to-board connector assembly includes a connector interposer between first and second connectors each having a connector housing holding contacts and having a card slot for interfacing with a circuit card edge of a corresponding add-in card. The connector housings have board guides configured to engage the add-in cards and guide mating therewith. The connectors have latches configured to latchably engage the add-in cards to secure the connector to the add-in cards. The connector interposer electrically interconnects the first contacts and the second contacts.
