HOST CONNECTOR AND RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY INCLUDING SAME
A host connector includes a connector insulator having a slot allowing detachable insertion of a plug connector of a module, a first contact terminal group including contact terminals arranged inside the connector insulator and each brought into contact with a contact pad on one side at a connection end of the plug connector, and a second contact terminal group including contact terminals each brought into contact with a contact pad on another side opposed to the aforementioned contact pad. The first contact terminal group includes grounding sub-contact terminals arranged inside slits of the connector insulator, grounding main contact terminals supporting the grounding sub-contact terminals, and signal contact terminals. Contact portions of each grounding main contact terminal and of each signal contact terminal having the same shape are arranged on a common straight line, and the signal contact terminals are disposed between the grounding main contact terminals.
Electrical connector housing with blind cavities
An electrical connector has an insulative elongated housing retaining a plurality of contacts therein. The housing includes an upper wall, a lower wall and a rear wall to commonly form a receiving slot. The upper wall forms a plurality of upper passageways and the lower wall forms a plurality of lower passageways to receiving the corresponding upper contacts and lower contacts therein. Each contact includes a mating section extending into the mating space and a mounting leg extending outside of the housing. The housing forms a plurality of cavities in the upper wall, the lower wall and the rear wall to relative evenly adjust the thickness of the different positions in the cross-section of the housing so as to evenly molding the housing without improper deformation/warpage when the housing is solidified after molding.
Contact arrangement of electrical connector
An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of contacts retained within the housing as a contact module. The housing includes a base and a mating tongue forwardly extending from the base. The contacts are arranged with two rows contacting sections respectively exposed upon two opposite surfaces of the mating tongue, and one row mounting sections for mounting to a same plane of a printed circuit board. Each contact has a linking section between the contacting section and the mounting section. The contacts are grouped by one grounding contact associated with a pair of neighboring differential pair signal contacts in an isosceles triangular configuration wherein the grounding contact is located at the top apex. The linking section of grounding contact of the outermost group is widened compared with those of the remaining contacts for lowering the corresponding impedance.
Sensor with integrated electrical contacts
A PCB mountable sensor having spring electrical contacts and mechanical attachment means is provided. In use, the spring contacts mate with exposed pads on a target PCB to form an electrical interface therebetween. The attachment means releasably secures the sensor to the PCB against the force of the spring contacts. The attachment means can be, for example, an adapter that fits like a collar around the sensor, or can be integral with the sensor. The design of the sensor provides interchangeability with no or limited tools, no PCB resident connectors, and no potential damage to the PCB upon rework or replacement.
Electric connection assembly with overbent soldering pin
An electric connection assembly for surface mounting on a circuit board comprises a soldering pin. The soldering pin has a starting portion disposed in a housing of the electric connection assembly, a middle portion, and an end portion disposed at an end of the soldering pin opposite the starting portion and contacting the circuit board. The middle portion is bent from the starting portion in a direction toward the housing and the end portion is bent from the middle portion in a direction away from the housing. An acute angle is formed between both the starting portion and the middle portion and between the middle portion and the end portion.
Waterproof connector
The invention discloses a waterproof connector. The waterproof connector includes a shell assembly, the shell assembly includes a metallic shell and a first sealing member, the metallic shell includes a top surface, a bottom surface and two lateral surfaces, a cavity is defined by the top surface, the bottom surface and the lateral surfaces, the first sealing member is sleeved on the peripheral of the metallic shell; a conductive assembly, the conductive assembly is received in the cavity, the conductive assembly includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contact terminals and a second sealing member, the insulative housing includes a base portion and a tongue extending forwardly from the base portion, the contact terminals are insert molded with the insulative housing, the second sealing member is assembled onto the insulative housing.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS FOR FLAT CIRCUITS
In one example an electrical connector is disclosed, which may include a housing and a plurality of electrical contacts disposed in the housing for engaging with corresponding connecting terminals provided on a flat circuit. The housing may include a front portion defining an elongated opening and a rear portion opposite the front portion. The rear portion may define a visible area. The flat circuit may be inserted in the housing from the elongated opening and extended into the visible area.
Card edge connector with protective cover
A card edge connector is adapted to allow an electronic module to insert and comprises an elongated insulating housing and a plurality of conductive terminals. The insulating housing has two side walls which are spaced apart from each other, the two side walls together define a card edge insertion groove which has an opening, at least one of the two side walls is a terminal mounting wall. The plurality of conductive terminals are provided to the terminal mounting wall and partially extend into the card edge insertion groove. The card edge connector further comprises a covering member which is correspondingly mounted to the terminal mounting wall, the covering member has a body and a tongue portion which is connected to the body and has flexibility, the body is mounted to the top surface of the terminal mounting wall, the tongue portion at least partially covers the opening of the card edge insertion groove, when the electronic module is inserted into the card edge insertion groove, the tongue portion contacts the electronic module and flexes toward the card edge insertion groove.
Connector with a contact retained in a housing
A connector comprises a housing and a plurality of contacts retained in the housing. Each of the contacts extends in a longitudinal direction and has a retained portion, a contacting portion disposed in front of the retained portion in the longitudinal direction, and a connecting portion disposed behind the retained portion in the longitudinal direction. Each of the contacting portion and the connecting portion are shifted with respect to the retained portion in a vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The housing is in contact with the retained portion of each of the contacts from both above and below in the vertical direction and from both right and left in a lateral direction perpendicular to the vertical direction and the longitudinal direction.
