CONNECTOR
A retainer is inserted and fitted into an engagement hole that is open in a first direction of a housing where the first direction, a second direction, and a third direction are defined as mutually-orthogonal three directions. An engagement portion is disposed at each of a pair of inner wall surfaces facing each other in the second direction in an inner peripheral wall of the engagement hole. The retainer includes a pair of first outer surfaces facing each other in the first direction, a pair of second outer surfaces facing each other in the second direction, and a pair of third outer surfaces facing each other in the third direction. A long hole passing through the third outer surface in the third direction is formed so as to be adjacent to each of the second outer surfaces, and extends in the first direction defined as a longitudinal direction. A beam portion supported at both ends by a pair of longitudinal-direction end portions is formed between the long hole and the second outer surface. An engagement projection that engages with the engagement portion is formed at an intermediate portion in the longitudinal direction of the beam portion. A stress relaxation structure that relaxes stress acting on the intermediate portion of the beam portion includes a hole expanding portion that expands at least one of the pair of longitudinal-direction end portions of the long hole in a lateral direction.
CONNECTOR FIXING STRUCTURE
A connector fixing structure includes: a device case including a wall portion in which an attachment hole is provided; and a connector including a housing fixed to the device case, the housing including an insertion portion inserted in the attachment hole, and a shell covering the housing from the outer side. At a part of the wall portion, the part being located around the attachment hole, a projection portion that projects toward one side in an axis direction of the attachment hole from the wall portion is provided. The projection portion includes a lateral portion on one end side in a lateral direction orthogonal to the axis direction. The shell includes a lateral cover portion that covers the lateral portion.
Connector housing assembly and charging socket connector
The present invention provides a connector housing assembly and a charging socket connector. The connector housing assembly has a housing configured to support a connection terminal; and a lock received in a chamber of the housing. The lock is movably installed in the housing and is adapted to be moved between a pre-locking position and a final locking position; the lock is provided with a blocking structure configured to lock the connection terminal when the lock is moved to the final locking position; the housing is provided with an operation port communicated with the chamber, and the lock is pushed to move between the pre-locking position and the final locking position by a tool inserted into the chamber through the operation port. Compared with the prior art, the assembly process of the connector housing assembly of the present invention is simple, and the productivity is effectively improved. A blind plug may be located in the operation port when the tool is removed from the port.
Connector
A connector includes a terminal fitting, a housing that houses the terminal fitting at a housing complete position, and a terminal retaining member that, at an assembling complete position to the housing, retains the terminal fitting remaining at the housing complete position. The terminal fitting includes a penetration hole. The terminal retaining member includes a retaining protrusion that is, at the assembling complete position, inserted into the penetration hole at the housing complete position, and retains the terminal fitting while the terminal fitting remains at that position. The penetration hole is formed to have a left-right asymmetric shape including a first hole part on the left side and a second hole part having a shape different from a shape of the first hole part and arranged on the right side of the first hole part.
Charging connector
A connector includes a terminal, a housing to accommodate the terminal and a retainer including a locking portion to lock the terminal when the terminal is accommodated in the housing. The housing includes a front housing having a terminal accommodating chamber and a rear housing to be attached to the front housing from a rear side of an insertion direction of the terminal, the rear housing including a lance to, when the terminal is accommodated in the terminal accommodating chamber, lock a rear portion of the terminal. The retainer is to be attached between the front housing and the rear housing and to be displaceable along a direction perpendicular to the insertion direction between a locking position and a non-locking position. The retainer moves from the non-locking position to the locking position and the locking portion locks the rear portion of the terminal in the insertion direction.
Connector apparatus
A connector apparatus includes a housing having an upper surface portion formed with an accommodation space, and a position assurance to be inserted into the accommodation space of the housing. When the position assurance is mounted in the housing, a mounting portion of the position assurance is exposed on a side surface portion of the housing, such that visibility at the time of work is improved. In addition, the position assurance is connected to the housing in a catching structure, such that it is easy to mount and demount the position assurance and mounting strength is secured.
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY WITH AN UNSEATED TERMINAL DETECTION FEATURE
An electrical connector assembly includes a connector body defining a terminal cavity in which an electrical terminal is received which has a flexible primary terminal lock arm configured to secure the terminal within the cavity and which has a tab extending from a free end of the primary terminal lock arm. The assembly further includes an independent secondary lock (ISL) defining a window therein, attached to the connector body, and movable from a pre-staged position to a staged position. The tab of the primary terminal lock arm is received within the window when the primary terminal lock arm is in an unflexed condition when the ISL is in the staged position. The tab and window cooperate to inhibit flexing of the primary terminal lock arm when the ISL is in the staged position. Alternatively, the primary terminal lock arm may define the window and the ISL may define the tab.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WITH TERMINAL MODULES AND FRAME HAVING MODULE BAYS FOR CUSTOMIZABLE INPUT/OUTPUT CONFIGURATION
A terminal module includes a housing defining a cavity configured to receive an electrical terminal within and a primary terminal lock configured to releasably retain the electrical terminal after it is fully inserted within the cavity. The terminal module further includes a secondary terminal lock attached to the housing defining a protrusion that enters into the cavity at a location rearward of the electrical terminal as the secondary terminal lock is moved from a pre-stage position to a staged position. A method of assembling an electrical connector including this terminal module is also provided
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY HAVING A TERMINAL POSITION ASSURANCE (TPA) DEVICE THAT IS CAM ACTUATED BY A SEAL RETAINER, AND A METHOD FOR OPERATING THEREOF
The connector assembly includes a terminal position assurance (TPA) device, and a seal retainer. A downwardly extending notch member of the seal retainer engages with a recess on an upper surface of an upper portion of the TPA device to form a cam linkage mechanism or a cam mechanical linkage for the TPA device and the seal retainer. The seal retainer, when pushed or inserted towards an outer housing, by way of the cam linkage mechanism with the TPA device, pushes the TPA device to one side such that the terminals within the outer housing remain unlocked. The seal retainer, when further pushed or inserted toward the outer housing, by way of the cam linkage mechanism, moves the TPA device laterally to an opposite side such that the TPA device blocks the terminals within the outer housing. A lower portion of the seal retainer is, at a pre-lock or full-lock position, engaged with mating locking members at a bottom portion of a terminal guidance member.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WITH TERMINAL RETAINER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
An electrical connector includes an integrally formed cylindrical housing and a cylindrical spring lock retainer disposed within a cavity in the housing and defining a spring member and a terminal lock. The electrical connector further includes an annular ridge protruding from inner walls of the housing into the cavity and a plurality of spring lock retainer stops extending from the inner walls into the cavity and arranged around a circumference of the spring lock retainer. The annular ridge is arranged on a first end of the spring lock retainer and the plurality of spring lock retainer stops are arranged on a second end of the spring lock retainer opposite the first end. A method of manufacturing such an electrical connector is also presented.
