Electrical connector and method for locking connection terminal in said electrical connector
A locking plate portion is disposed so as to be movable in a lateral direction. A connection terminal is inserted while a locking piece of a connection portion of the connection terminal passes through an insertion groove of the locking plate portion Subsequently, an operating member is pushed in an arrow direction with respect to the locking plate portion and the locking plate portion is laterally moved by a wedge mechanism. Then, the locking piece is transferred to a locking portion provided in the front end side portion of the insertion groove. As a result, the locking portion locks the rear portion of the locking piece and a rearward movement of the connection terminal is regulated.
Sealing connector
A connector is provided with a rear seal portion to be arranged to face a rear surface of a housing, and a rear wall portion to be arranged to face a rear surface of the rear seal portion. The housing includes a lock piece projecting rearward from the rear surface and the lock piece includes a lock portion on a tip side. The rear seal portion includes a lock-side seal hole to be held in close contact with a base end side of the lock piece and a sealing surface to be held in close contact with a mating housing on an outer peripheral side. The rear wall portion includes a lock receiving portion to be locked by the lock portion on an inner surface of a through hole. Out of an outer part and an inner part, the lock receiving portion is provided on the inner part.
Angled connector and method of assembling an angled connector
An angled connector includes a connector housing, a terminal support held by the connector housing, and a first terminal held in the terminal support. The connector housing has a first terminal passage and a second terminal passage extending at an angle to the first terminal passage. The first terminal passage and the second terminal passage intersect one another in an intersection region. The terminal support is slidable relative to the connector housing along the first terminal passage from a first position to a second position. The first terminal at least partially extends into the first terminal passage. The first terminal is closer to the second terminal passage in the second position than in the first position, and the first terminal is at least partially arranged in the intersection region in the second position.
Connector with improved terminal locking device
Included are terminal metal parts mounted on ends of electric wires, a housing housing the terminal metal parts at a housing completion position thereinside and to be inserted and fit into a counterpart fitting portion headed by a tip, a terminal locking member mounted on the housing from outside along a direction crossing an insertion direction of the housing to the counterpart fitting portion and locking the terminal metal parts as they are at the housing completion position at a mounting completion position with respect to the housing, and a front holder causing the housing to be inserted headed by the tip and locking the terminal locking member at the mounting completion position.
Connector-assembly with primary-lock-reinforcement device
A connector assembly includes electrical terminals, a connector housing, and a primary lock reinforcement device. The electrical terminals are configured to mate with corresponding electrical terminals along a mating axis of the connector assembly. The connector housing is configured to retain the electrical terminals within terminal cavities defined by a terminal tower disposed within the connector housing. The primary lock reinforcement device is configured to slideably engage the terminal tower and is moveable from a prestaged position to a full staged position. The primary lock reinforcement device has a base and a skirt defining a cavity having a flexible beam disposed within and terminating at a tip. The tip engages a stop in the connector housing in the prestaged position inhibiting a movement of the primary lock reinforcement device along the mating axis. When the electrical terminals are fully seated into the terminal cavities, the electrical terminals disengage the tip from the stop enabling the primary lock reinforcement device to move from the prestaged position to the full staged position.
Connector and wire harness
A connector includes: a housing; and a short-circuit terminal. A deformable portion is configured to deform in a direction of moving away from the terminal during housing of the terminal and to deform in a direction of moving closer to the terminal when the housing of the terminal is finished. The short-circuit terminal has, as different portions, a contact point portion to contact with the two or more terminals and a push target portion to contact with the deformable portion. The short-circuit terminal is configured to reduce its pressure of contact toward the terminal at the contact point portion, during the housing of the terminal, due to a movement of the push target portion along with the deformable portion.
Connector
A connector includes: a housing having terminal housing chambers, one passage part, and lances; terminals inserted into the respective terminal housing chambers and locked by the respective lances at a regular position; and a detection member inserted into the passage part to detect whether the terminals are inserted to the regular position. The passage part is adjacent to each of the terminal housing chambers. The lances are provided at a boundary between the respective terminal housing chambers and the passage part. The lances, when the respective terminals are not inserted to the regular position, are pressed by the respective terminals to lock the detection member at a first position. The lances, when the respective terminals are inserted to the regular position, allow the detection member to be inserted into a more inner position than the first position.
CONNECTOR
A connector includes a housing, a holder, and a short-circuiting terminal. The holder is non-movable to a formal locking position when terminals, which are short-circuiting targets, are not inserted into a terminal receiving chamber. The holder is movable to the formal locking position when the terminals, which are short-circuiting targets, are inserted into a sufficient insertion position of the terminal receiving chamber. A contact member of the short-circuiting terminal is in contact with the terminals, which are short-circuiting targets, and the terminals, which are short-circuiting targets, are short-circuited when the terminals, which are short-circuiting terminals, are inserted into the sufficient insertion position and the holder is moved to the formal locking position.
METHOD FOR IMPROVING CLEARANCE AND CREEPAGE IN A HIGH VOLTAGE CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY USING A MALE OR FEMALE TERMINAL POSITION ASSURANCE (TPA) DEVICE
A method for improving clearance and creepage in a male or female high voltage connector assembly using a male terminal position assurance (TPA) device. The high voltage connector assembly is suitable for high voltage electrical terminals. The method includes the steps of allowing a clearance and creepage or electrical path to extend from at least a high voltage electrical terminal to a conductive male outer housing, and or between another terminal using a male or a female TPA device. The TPA device is inserted in the high voltage connector assembly, whereby a clearance and creepage or electrical path extends from the high voltage electrical terminal along at least a surface of the TPA device and to the male outer housing of the high voltage connector assembly or from the high voltage electrical terminal to another high voltage electrical terminal in using the male and or female TPA device.
