Low-force push-in electrical terminal

An electrical terminal includes a terminal base. A mate portion is attached to the terminal base and is adapted to mate with a corresponding electrical terminal. A conductor contact portion includes a box attached to the terminal base. The box defines an interior space. A lever extends from a wall of the box. The lever includes a curved portion that extends toward the terminal base. The lever is adapted to engage a conductor of a wire inserted into the box. The lever includes lift tabs that extend from the lever to outside the box.

Connector and connector structure

Both a non-waterproof connector (10) and a waterproof connector (10A) include a housing (20, 20A) having a retainer mounting hole (24) open in an outer surface, and a retainer (60) to be inserted into the retainer mounting hole (24). In the waterproof connector (10A), a seal ring (210) is fit on a rear side of the outer surface of the housing (20A), out of both front and rear sides across an opening of the retainer mounting hole (24). In the non-waterproof connector (10), restricting portions (38) are provided to project on the rear side of the outer surface of the housing (20). The restricting portions (38) can come into contact with an inner surface on an opening side of a receptacle (122) in a fitting state.

Power connector

The present disclosure relates to a power connector which comprises an insulative housing and a terminal. The insulative housing defines a terminal receiving groove therein and comprises a stopping wall. The terminal is positioned in the terminal receiving groove and comprises a mating portion, a stopping portion and a wire connecting portion. The stopping portion abuts against the stopping wall and comprises a first horizontal portion and a second horizontal portion. The first horizontal portion comprises a first front end edge. The second horizontal portion comprises a second front end edge. A portion of a front end of the first horizontal portion and a portion of a front end of the second horizontal portion are cut off, therefore when the terminal clamps the wire, the first front end edge and the second front end edge do not splay forwardly and outwardly to protrude forwardly, but are parallel to each other or respectively extend backwardly, which thus can avoid the first front end edge and the second front end edge of the stopping portion from abutting against the stopping wall first due to the protruding.

CABLE ASSEMBLY WITH STRAIN RELIEF

A cable assembly includes a cable, a connector-body, a cable-seal, and a retainer. The connector-body is attached to the cable. The cable-seal is disposed within the connector-body and surrounds the cable. The cable-seal is configured to inhibit entry of a contaminant into the connector-body. The retainer is in direct contact with the cable, the connector-body and the cable-seal. The retainer is configured to retain the cable-seal within the connector-body. The retainer is configured to be installed onto the cable and is attached to the connector-body. The retainer contains cable-clamps mounted to a pair of opposed inclined-surfaces located on an inner-surface of the retainer. The cable-clamps include inclined-ramps configured to engage the inclined-surfaces. The inclined-ramps move along the inclined-surfaces, thereby causing the cable-clamps to impart a radial-force normal to the cable when the retainer is attached to the connector-body.

Connector

A connector includes a housing (10) having a terminal accommodation chamber (11) formed therein, and a first terminal fitting (12) can be inserted into the terminal accommodation chamber (11). A retainer (20) can be assembled to the housing (10) at a temporary locking position and at a final locking position, and a terminal holding member (30) can be assembled to the housing (10). A second terminal fitting (40) is attached to the terminal holding member (30). Interference parts (24, 26) are formed in the retainer (20) and the terminal holding member (30), respectively. The interference parts do not interfere with each other when the retainer (20) is in the final locking position. However, the interference parts interfere with each other to prevent the terminal holding member (30) from being assembled to the housing (10) when the retainer (20) is in the temporary locking position.

Terminal and connector

A terminal includes a box, the box of the terminal connected to an electric wire includes a ceiling plate and an inner plate. The ceiling plate includes a front ceiling plate and a rear ceiling plate formed by a notch. The rear ceiling plate includes a projection part engagement surface provided by the forming of the notch. The inner plate includes a projection part. In a state where the ceiling plate and the inner plate are superimposed, the projection part and the projection part engagement surface are engaged with each other.

CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY WITH TERMINAL POSITION ASSURANCE AND BLOCKING FEATURE

A connector assembly includes a connector body having a terminal cavity, a terminal lock configured to secure the terminal within the terminal cavity, and a rigid stop ridge projecting into the terminal cavity. The connector assembly also includes a TPA device moveable from a pre-staged position to a fully staged position deeper within the terminal cavity. The TPA device is inhibited from moving from the pre-staged position prior to the terminal insertion by interference between the TPA device and the stop ridge. The TPA device is inhibited from moving from the pre-staged position as the terminal is inserted into the terminal cavity by interference between the TPA device and the terminal lock. The TPA device is allowed to move from the pre-staged position to the fully staged position after the terminal is fully seated within the terminal cavity and the terminal lock secures the terminal within the terminal cavity.

A connector includes a housing and a holder. The housing includes a terminal housing chamber housing a terminals and a support portion in which a first locking portion for locking the holder in the temporary locking position is formed. The holder is mounted on the housing so as to be movable in a fitting direction of the housing and a mating housing between a temporary locking position and a main locking position. The holder is configured to be immovable from the temporary locking position to the main locking position when the terminal inserted into the terminal housing chamber is in a halfway insertion position and is configured to be movable from the temporary locking position to the main locking position when the terminal is in a normal insertion position.
