Electrical connector assembly with axial connection assist
A connector includes a first housing, a second housing, a mate assist slider, and a cam gear. The first-housing has a first outer surface. The second housing is configured to mate with the first housing, and the second housing includes a pin extending from a second outer surface. The connector also includes a mate assist slider moveable from an unmated position to a mated position. The connector also includes a cam gear mounted to the first outer surface. The cam gear moves in response to a movement of the mate-assist-slider from the unmated position to the mated position. The cam gear has a cam slot with an inertial detent. A vibratory feedback is provided to an assembler indicative of a properly positioned connector housing when the pin is moved past the inertial detent.
CONNECTOR
The present disclosure includes: housing for housing terminals; first lever which is mounted in housing to allow change of position between an initial position and a lock position, and which allows locking a mating lock member of a mating connector in the lock position; and second lever which is mounted in housing to allow change of position between an initial position and an auxiliary lock position, and which allows locking first lever at the lock position in the auxiliary lock position.
Lever-type connector
A lever-type connector has a male housing (10) including a bottom wall (11) formed with through hole (23, 24) and a receptacle (12) extending forward from an outer periphery of the bottom wall (11). A female housing (30) is capable of fitting into the receptacle (12). A lever (33) is mounted on the female housing (30) and connects the male and female housings (10, 30) by being rotated from an initial position to a connection position. An arm (36) of the lever (33) is between an outer surface of the female housing (30) and an inner surface of the receptacle (12). First and second closing portions (40, 41) are on the arm (36) and are configured to close a clearance between an upper opening (13) of the receptacle (12) and the lever (33) by being above the through holes (23, 24) with the lever (33) at the connection position.
LEVER-TYPE CONNECTOR
A connector includes a lever (50) to connect a male housing (20) and a female housing (10) by rotating from an initial position to a connection position. The male housing (20) includes a receptacle (22) and a moving plate (30) movable in a connecting direction of the housings (10, 20). The lever (50) includes plates (51) extending along an outer surface of the male housing (20). The moving plate (30) includes a wall (33) extending along an inner surface of the receptacle (22). The plate (51) of the lever (50) includes an initial lock (54) to limit rotation of the lever (50) toward the connection position by being locked to the receptacle (22). The wall (33) includes unlocking portions (38) to push the initial locking portions (54) in an unlocking direction by contacting the female housing (10). The unlocking portion (38) is separated from surroundings by long narrow slits (39).
Connector
A wire cover (70) is arranged to cover a rear surface of a housing (10) and includes a back plate (73) in a rear part. A pull-out port (77) for wires (30) is provided in an end part of the back plate (73) and an opening (74) is provided separately from the pull-out port (77). A U-shaped lever (90) is arranged to straddle the back plate (73) and connects the housing (10) and a mating housing at a connection position by being rotated with an operating portion (91) gripped. The operating portion (91) of the lever (90) enters the opening (74) at the connection position and is arranged in contact with or in proximity to an edge of the opening (74).
