Electrical Communication Switch, Outlet, Companion Device, and System
A controller is configured to receive a programming indicating one or more electrical switches/outlets that are responsive to a state change at a first electrical switch. The controller is configured to receive from the first electrical switch, connected to the controller through at least one of a first wired signal line or a first wired power line, information associated with a state change at the first electrical switch. The controller is configured to send to the one or more electrical switches/outlets through at least one of a second wired signal line or a second wired power line an action order to change a state pursuant to the information associated with the state change at the first electrical switch and based on the received programming indicating the one or more electrical switches/outlets that are responsive to the state change at the first electrical switch.
ELECTRICAL CONTACT DEVICE WITH INTERLOCK
An electrical connector assembly includes a first electrical contact device and a second electrical contact device. The first electrical contact device includes at least one first electrical contact and an actuator movable between a first position and a second position. The second electrical contact device includes at least one second electrical contact device and an interlock feature to engage the actuator when the actuator is in the first position. The actuator is in the first position when the first electrical contact is in electrical communication with a power source, and the actuator is in the second position when the electrical communication between the first electrical contact and the power source is disconnected. When the actuator is in the first position and the second electrical contact engage the first electrical contact, the interlock feature engages the actuator, thereby securing the first electrical contact device and the second electrical contact device against disconnection.
Battery pack interface
An interface for a battery pack and an electrical combination. The interface may include a battery-receiving portion configured to receive a battery pack and including a cavity. The cavity is defined by a pair of sidewalls with rails defining a groove between the rails and a lower surface of the cavity. The rails are stepped or angled along a battery insertion axis and are configured to guide the sliding engagement of a battery pack within the battery-receiving portion.
SMART ADAPTER
A smart adapter includes an insulating body, a plug fastened to the insulating body, at least one socket, at least one seven-segment displayer, at least one button and a main control unit. The at least one socket is mounted in the insulating body and is exposed to a front surface of the insulating body. The at least one seven-segment displayer is mounted in the insulating body. The at least one button is mounted in the insulating body and is exposed to the insulating body. The main control unit is mounted in the insulating body and is connected with the at least one socket, the plug and the at least one seven-segment displayer. The main control unit includes a cloud unit and a central processing unit. The cloud unit is connected to the at least one button and the central processing unit.
High speed arc suppressor
A high speed arc suppressor and method include a first phase-specific arc suppressor configured to suppress arcing across contacts of the power contactor in a positive domain and a second phase-specific arc suppressor configured to suppress arcing across the contacts in a negative domain. First and second high speed switches are configured to enable and disable operation of an associated one of the first and second phase-specific arc suppressors. First and second drivers are configured to drive the first and second high speed switches.
LOW-PROFILE SMART OUTLET
A switch includes an insulating barrier that blocks an electrical conductivity path between a plug prong and a contact of an electrical receptacle. It further includes a switched alternative conductivity path between the plug prong and the contact of the electrical receptacle. A portion of the switch is inserted into the electrical receptacle. The switch receives the plug prong, and the switch is substantially flush with a wall that includes the electrical receptacle.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING CONNECTOR
An electric vehicle charging connector including a charging connector. The charging connector including a direct current pin and an alternating current pin. The electric vehicle charging connector also including a coupling mechanism configured to: couple the charging connector to an electric vehicle, enable a flow of electricity from the charging connector to the electric vehicle, and disable the flow of electricity from the charging connector to the electric vehicle.
High power, multi-phase, AC power contact arc suppressor
An arc suppressing circuit configured to suppress arcing across a power contactor coupled to an alternating current (AC) power source having a predetermined number of phases, each contact of the power contactor corresponding to one of the predetermined number of phases includes a number of dual unidirectional arc suppressors equal to the predetermined number of phases of the AC power source. Each dual unidirectional arc suppressor includes a first phase-specific arc suppressor configured to suppress arcing across the associated contacts in a positive domain, a a second phase-specific arc suppressor configured to suppress arcing across the associated contacts in a negative domain, and a coil lock controller, configured to be coupled between a contact coil driver of the power contactor, configured to detect an output condition from the contact coil driver and inhibit operation of the first and second phase-specific arc suppressors over a predetermined time.
