An optical fiber stripper includes handles, two stripping blades and an optical fiber positioning reference block, on which optical fiber jacket stripping sub-channel, covered wire/cable jacket stripping sub-channel, and bare fiber coating stripping sub-channel are disposed in parallel, and the stripping blade, respectively, contains optical fiber jacket stripping port, first port, and sharp-angle port. The present invention can be used to strip various layers through the ports on the stripping blades, to ensure that the optical fiber is not broken when stripping optical fiber, and to prevent optical fiber surface from attaching to debris, so that the optical fiber jointing efficiency is improved greatly.

The invention relates to a stripping tool, in particular stripping pliers. The stripping tool is here used for a multi-wired cable. According to the invention two pairs of stripping blades are used in the stripping tool. The two pairs of stripping blades are moved in preferably parallel planes (60, 61) besides one another. According to the invention it is possible to simultaneously strip the insulations of e.g. four conductors of a four-wired cable.

Perforation apparatus for cable jackets and related systems and methods

A perforation apparatus for use with cable jackets and related systems and methods thereof is provided. The tool includes a pliers assembly having at least a first jaw member positioned opposing a second jaw member, wherein relative movement of the first and second jaw members is controlled with at least a first handle and a second handle. A first knife edge is on the first jaw member and a second knife edge is on the second jaw member. Each of the first and second knife edges are oriented substantially parallel to one another and substantially perpendicular to a length of first and second handles. The first and second knife edges are movable towards one another. A spacing device is connected to the pliers assembly, wherein the spacing device controls a closing distance between the first knife edge and the second knife edge.

CABLE SHAVING TOOL

A cable-shaving tool for midspan shaving of a cable jacket includes a housing bottom having a first hinge member along an upper edge, a cavity, and a cable groove extending through a length of the housing bottom. The cable-shaving tool includes a second housing shell having an interior portion having a recess with an upper control surface, an exterior portion, and a second hinge member along a second housing shell edge engageable with the first hinge member. The second housing shell is rotatable about the first hinge member. The cable-shaving tool includes a blade removably securable between a blade holder and a blade support surface on the housing lid, the blade extending within a portion of the recess and a movable cable ramp disposed in the cavity of the bottom housing for urging the cable toward the blade when the second housing shell is in a closed position.

A pliers includes a first pliers body having a first neck section and a first handle, a second pliers body having a second neck section and a second handle, a pivot shaft disposed at the first and second neck sections of the first and second pliers bodies, two relative angular displacement positions respectively formed between the first and second neck sections, a stripping section having two blade sections respectively disposed on the two pliers bodies, and a scale section disposed on the relative angular displacement positions for controlling the gap between the two blade sections of the stripping section. With the scale section, the size of the stripping section is controllable, whereby the pliers can precisely peel off the insulation skin of the wire without damaging the conductive core therein.

A tool for cutting wires is provided. The tool includes a first member with a first handle and a first jaw body and a second member with a second handle and a second jaw body. The first jaw body includes a first inner blade and a first projection. The second jaw body includes a second inner blade and a second projection. The second projection defines a slot with the second jaw body. The second member is pivotably coupled to the first member such that the first member and the second member move between an opened position and a closed position with respect to each other. When in the opened position, the first projection abuts the second jaw body, and the slot defines an opening configured to receive a workpiece. When in the closed position, the first projection overlaps with the slot to cut a workpiece.
