Stripping device
A stripping device for rapid midpoint stripping of an outer cladding layer of a cable includes a handle, a cutter disposed on the handle, a pressing assembly, and a scraper assembly. The pressing assembly includes a first bracket and a pressing part. The first bracket is disposed on the handle. The pressing part is slidably arranged on the first bracket and opposite to the cutter. The scraper assembly includes a second bracket disposed on the handle and a scraper disposed on the second bracket. The stripping device has advantages of simple operation, high stripping efficiency, and good safety.
Manually-Operated Wire Stripper
A manually-operated wire stripper is a device for cutting and removing the electrical insulation from an electrical wire. The device includes a base plate onto which a first mounting plate and a second mounting plate are perpendicularly mounted. A first rod is rotatably mounted through the first mounting plate and the second mounting plate. A cutting assembly is mounted for longitudinal movement to the first rod and may be moved into position such that a blade of the cutting assembly is aligned with a selected slot from a plurality of wire slots traversing through the base plate. An electrical wire may be stripped by inserting the electrical wire through the selected slot, creating a cut in the electrical insulation with the blade, and then manually pulling the electrical wire through the selected slot to remove the electrical insulation along the length of the electrical wire.
CABLE STRIPPING TOOL AND BI-DIRECTIONAL CUTTING BLADE
A cable stripping tool according to some embodiments of the disclosure is provided for making circumferential or ring cut and a spiral cut in the jacket of a cable. A cutting blade of the tool includes first and second blade portions which are integrally formed with each other and are angled relative to each other. In use, after the cutting blade penetrates the jacket, the tool is rotated in a first direction and the first blade portion cuts the jacket to form a ring cut. The tool is then rotated in a second, opposite direction and the second blade portion cuts the jacket to form a spiral cut. Thereafter, the tool is rotated in the first direction and the first blade portion cuts the jacket to form a ring cut. The cuttings by the blade portions are done without disengaging the cutting blade from the cable.
MEASUREMENT TOOL FOR CABLE-PREPARATION SYSTEM
Techniques, systems and articles are described for preparing electrical cables for connections to a power grid. In one example, a cable-cross-section-measurement tool includes a housing defining a cavity, wherein the housing is configured to position an end-face of an electrical cable within the cavity; a camera disclosed within the cavity of the housing, wherein the camera is configured to capture an image of the end-face of the electrical cable; and a telecentric lens optically coupled to the camera, wherein the telecentric lens comprises a non-angular field of view configured to reduce, in the image, distortion from parallax associated with at least one portion of the end-face of the electrical cable that is oriented at an oblique angle relative to an optical axis of the telecentric lens.
Tool, Machine Tool System, and Method of Operating the Tool
A tool for stripping a cable, with a cutting unit for cutting a sheath of the cable, with an alignment unit for aligning the cable for a cutting operation using the cutting unit and with a base body unit on which the alignment unit and the cutting unit are arranged. The alignment unit is configured to be adjustable to accommodate different cable diameters.
ELECTRICIAN PLIERS WITH EXTENDED PLIER SLEEVES
The present utility patent provides electrician pliers with extended plier sleeves, which comprise two plier bodies connected by rotation, wherein each of the plier bodies comprises a jaw and a plier handle, the two jaws are provided with through holes with the same height, and a wire winding knife is arranged in one of the through holes to form a wire winding part; a wire splitting knife is arranged on a jaw of the other plier body to form a wire splitting part; and two plier sleeves are respectively sleeved with the two plier handles, and the two plier sleeves extend correspondingly to the wire winding part and the wire splitting part and coat a periphery of the through hole to shield welding lines at the wire winding part and the wire splitting part.
CABLE STRIPPING ASSEMBLY
A cable stripping assembly for removing a cable jacket from a cable, the cable stripping assembly including: a cable stripping tool including a housing including a head and a handle, the head including a central opening defining a central axis and configured to receive a cable, the handle extending from the head, and a motor disposed in the head, the motor having a motor shaft extending along a motor axis that is parallel to the central axis; an adjustable bushing coupled to the head and having a central opening that is in communication with the head of the housing and extends along the central axis, wherein actuation of the motor drives the adjustable bushing to rotate; and a blade mounted to the adjustable bushing and configured to partially extend into the central opening of the adjustable bushing to engage the cable
STRIPPING TOOL
A stripping tool for an armor-wrapped cable is provided, which includes a first handle and a second handle. The first handle includes a cutting portion, a pivoting portion and a gripping portion. The second handle includes a clamping portion, a pivoting portion and a gripping portion. The first handle and the second handle are pivotally connected at the pivoting portion of the first handle and the pivoting portion of the second handle, so that the user can pivot the second handle relative to the first handle by holding the gripping portion of the first handle and the gripping portion of the second handle, so as to clamp the armor-wrapped cable between the cutting portion of the first handle and the clamping portion of the second handle, and cut the cable by the cutting portion of the first handle.
Automated cable preparation with modular system
Techniques, systems, and articles are described for preparing electrical cables for connections to a power grid. In one example, a system includes a handheld cable preparation device configured to cut one or more layers of an electrical cable and a computing device configured to control the cable preparation device to cut the one or more layers of the electrical cable.
