Quick lock tube securing system using connector, locking element, and engaging portion
A connecting system for quickly securing a hollow tube to a structure or another hollow tube using a connector that has housing with a tapered interior edge that operably engages a tapered locking wedge received therein. When the tube is inserted into the tapered locking wedge, the locking wedge therein holds and locks the tube in place in the connector. A guide ring may be provided within the connector to facilitate proper alignment of the tube within the connector and provide excellent electrical conductivity throughout the entire tube connecting system. One or more roller bearings may be provided within the wedge to facilitate initial tube insertion and then compression locking of the tube by the wedge. The connector can include a variety of structure engaging portions to allow the connector to be operably secured to a variety of structures such as electrical junction boxes, electrical conduits, tubes, armored cables, metal clad cables, flexible metal cables and the like.
Electrical fitting for non-metallic electrical cable
An electrical fitting to secure multiple non-metallic electrical cables has a body having a first end for insertion into an electrical panel box or to receive conduit, and a second end having an opening with apertures formed near a periphery thereof, the body having a hollow interior for passage of cables, and a cable securing device having a plate dimensioned to mount to the body and clamping devices, each having a pair of resilient clamp fingers to secure at least one cable, each finger having a terminating end adjacent the terminating end of the other finger, a pair of squeezable arms extending to facilitate cable insertion and removal, and a pair of anchoring fingers extending from the first surface of the plate, each anchoring finger having a protruding member to snap into one of the apertures so as to secure the cable securing device especially when the arms are squeezed.
EDGE PROTECTION BUSHING WITH INTEGRATED CLAMP
An edge protection bushing 106 with integrated clamp 208 is disclosed. The bushing 106 includes a tail end 202 for attachment to a heat protection tube and a head end 206 for accepting a cable protection hose. A clamp 208 is positioned adjacent the head end 206 and held in place by one or more breakable tabs 214 designed to break when pressure is applied to push the clamp 208 towards the head end 206. As the clamp 208 is pressed towards the head end 206, a locking mechanism 210, 212 secures the clamp 208 in place to secure the cable protection hose between the clamp 208 and the head end 206.
PRESS FITTING FOR ELECTRICAL CONDUIT
A method of securing an electrical conduit in an electrical conduit fitting including releasably gripping and removably retaining the electrical conduit in the electrical conduit fitting with a conduit retainer disposed in a passage of the electrical conduit fitting prior to press connecting the electrical conduit fitting to the electrical conduit to fixedly attach the electrical conduit fitting to the electrical conduit.
Conduit fitting
A fitting for an electrical conduit includes a fitting body having first and second open ends, and an interior surface defining a passage adapted to receive a piece of the electrical conduit therein. The fitting body includes a connection section that is configured to receive and connect to the electrical conduit during a connection process. A retainer is in the passage at the connection section of the fitting body. The retainer includes teeth adapted to engage the piece of electrical conduit received in the passage when the electrical conduit is inserted into the connection section during the connection process. A guide is in the passage of the fitting body. The guide is configured to center the piece of electrical conduit in the fitting body before the retainer engages the electrical conduit during the connection process.
ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLY
Electrical assembly having a housing with an interior space, an electrical component that is arranged at least partly in the interior space, at least one cable having at least one wire to be electrically connected to the electrical component and an electrically isolating cable sheath encompassing the at least one wire, and at least one cable strain relief element. The at least one cable strain relief element is of u-shaped configuration with at least one base section from which two clamp sections extend, which clamp sections are arranged spaced apart from each other such that a clamping space is provided. The cable extends through the clamping space between the two clamp sections. At least one of the clamp sections is provided with at least one rib extending into the clamping space and protruding in the cable sheath.
Portable ground fault circuit interrupter and/or arc fault circuitry interrupter and method of operating the same
A module of an AM/PD device including a PCB and a bus bar including one or more bus bar contacts. The module further including one or more contact arms having one or more moveable contacts configured to be in a first position and a second position, wherein when in the first position the one or more moveable contacts are in physical contact with the one or more bus bar contacts and when in the second position the one or more moveable contacts are physically separated from the one or more bus bar contacts. The module further including a coil assembly coupled to an actuating device, the actuating device coupled to the one or more contact arms. Wherein the coil assembly, via the actuating device, moves the one or more moveable contacts from the first position to the second position.
