Drop Cable Sealing
Cable seals and related technology providing an optimized combination of ease-of-use and component protection when used in multi-cable terminals. When used in a multi-cable terminal, a cable seal of the technology allows for easy access to the interior of the multi-cable terminal when access is necessary, such as when cables need to be connected to the terminal or disconnected from the terminal, while readily sealing the terminal watertight when the seal is secured by the terminal enclosure.
HOUSING AND CABLE CLAMP AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING AND/OR MONITORING A PROCESS VARIABLE OF A MEDIUM
The present disclosure resides in a housing with a cable clamp. A lateral, traversing opening laterally opens a cable passageway. Three claws are located at different heights along a longitudinal axis, wherein two claws are located in a same angular range around the longitudinal axis. One claw is located in another angular range and at a height between the two other claws. Furthermore, the present disclosure relates to a device for determining and/or monitoring a process variable of a medium as well as to a cable clamp.
Wiring harness installation guide device
A guide device (10) is provided for guiding a wiring harness (32) through an aperture (26) in a panel (24). The guide device (10) has a substantially tubular sidewall (12) with opposite front and rear ends (14, 16). Portions of the sidewall (12) adjacent the front end (14) are dimensioned to fit in the aperture (26). The sidewall (12) flares out toward the rear end (16). A slit (22) extends from the front end (14) of the sidewall (12) to the rear and (16) thereof. The front end (14) of the guide device (10) can be mounted in the aperture (26) so that the wiring harness (32) can be guided into the outwardly flared rear end (16) and through the aperture (26). The slit (22) enables the sidewall (12) to be biased open at the slit so that the guide device (10) can be separated from the wiring harness (32).
Feedthrough assembly
A feedthrough assembly including a sealing member including a body part having a sealing member aperture, at least one elongated member extending through the sealing member aperture, and a feedthrough member including a body part having a feedthrough aperture extending through the body part, the feedthrough member being adapted to be attached to a wall having a through hole such that the feedthrough aperture and the through hole together provide a passage through the wall. The feedthrough member is adapted to receive the sealing member in the feedthrough aperture to an operative position in which the feedthrough member is rotatable relative to the sealing member, and a gap between an outer surface of the sealing member and a surface of the feedthrough aperture is less than or equal to 250 micrometres.
Liquid-tight and concrete-tight fitting for PVC jacketed metal-clad electrical cable
A liquid-tight and concrete-tight electrical fitting for securing PVC jacketed metal clad (PVC-MC) electrical cable to an electrical box or panel. The electrical fitting includes a tubular fitting body having a threaded inbound and outbound end, an MC ring, a grommet, a bushing, a sealing ring, a locknut, and a gland nut. The grommet includes an inbound end with a conical outer surface and an outbound end with a flat abutment surface. A conical inner surface is provided on the bushing for engaging the conical outer surface of the grommet. The MC ring is a continuous ring including an inbound end, an outbound end, a ring portion, and one or more fingers extending from the ring portion. The fitting facilitates liquid-tight and concrete-tight connection and proper electrical grounding of PVC-MC cable to an electrical box or panel.
Duplex electrical connector with insert
A duplex cable connector assembly including a connector body with an insert and spring clip including a first free end for engaging a side wall of an electrical box upon installation. The insert provides both a sleeve insulator at an end of the connector assembly and a cable divider portion to guide and separate cables. During insertion of the connector body the first free end is deformed so as to permit further insertion into the electrical box. Once the connector body is fully inserted, the spring clip cooperates with a lug on the connector body to hold the connector assembly onto the electrical box.
Holding device for a cable
A holding device and a method for mounting such a holding device on a cable having a braid situated externally at least in certain regions. The holding device includes a base element (4) with a base (9) for fastening the base element (4) to a housing, and a bracing element (5) for operative connection to the base element (4), and also a crimp element (6) with an outer crimp sleeve (10), and, arranged therein, an inner supporting sleeve (11). In a state in which the cable (2) is mounted in the holding device (1), the braid (3) is arranged between the crimp sleeve (10) and the supporting sleeve (11), and the shield braid (4) is crimped between the crimp sleeve (10) and the supporting sleeve (11).
CABLE GLAND WITH COMPRESSION LIMITING ASSEMBLY
A cable gland includes a gland nut defining a longitudinal axis. The gland nut includes an interior wall defining a gland nut opening. A bushing is disposed within the gland nut. The bushing defines a bushing opening configured to receive a cable therein. A compression limiting assembly includes a compression limiter moveably disposed at least partially within the gland nut. A spring is disposed between the compression limiter and the bushing. A body defines a body opening configured to receive at least a portion of the cable therein. The body is configured to couple to the gland nut. Upon coupling of the gland nut to the body, the gland nut moves along the longitudinal axis compressing the bushing between the gland nut and the compression limiting assembly and around the cable.
CABLE CONNECTOR RETAINING ASSEMBLY
A cable connector retaining assembly for use with an electrical enclosure is disclosed. The assembly includes a cable connector configured coupling with a cable. The connector is configured for slidable insertion into an opening defined by an enclosure and is connected to the enclosure via a retaining configuration. The cable connector includes a retainer receiving groove that cooperates with the retaining configuration such that, while the cable connector is disposed within the opening defined by the enclosure and connected to the enclosure by the retaining configuration, a portion of the retaining configuration is disposed within the retainer receiving groove such that longitudinal displacement of the cable connector relative to the enclosure, is resisted. The engagement between the retaining configuration and the retainer receiving groove facilitates the connection between the connector and the enclosure while also creating a complex flame path for mitigating against explosive events.
