Liquid epoxy brush barrier
An electrical fitting including a body having an inner cavity for receiving a plurality of conductors, the inner cavity including a first portion extending to a first exterior opening and a second portion extending to a second exterior opening, and a brush barrier positioned within the inner cavity between the first portion and the second portion, the brush barrier including an outer edge and a plurality of bristles extending inwardly from the outer edge, the bristles being displaceable by the conductors, wherein the electrical fitting is configured to receive a sealing compound within the first portion of the inner cavity between the first exterior opening of the first portion and the brush barrier, the sealing compound being at least partially prevented from propagating into the second portion of the inner cavity by the brush barrier.

The invention provides a kit of parts, especially for a lighting system with a light generated device hosted in a housing, the kit of parts comprising (i) a cable gland (100) comprising a cable gland body (110) and a sealing nut (120) for the cable gland body (110), wherein the cable gland (100) is configured for hosting an electrical cable (10) over at least part of a cable length (L) of the electrical cable (10), wherein the electrical cable (10) comprises an electrically conductive wire (11), wherein the cable gland (100) has a cable gland length (L2), and (ii) a wire transport element (2000) comprising a wire transport connector facility (2220) for hosting a part of a functional device electrically conductive wire (311), wherein the shape of the wire transport element (2000) is such that the wire transport element (2000) can be transported through the cable gland (100) over at least part of the cable gland length (L2).
Universal load bearing cable connector
Provided are load bearing universal adaptors for connecting electrical cables in a watertight configuration. The mechanical advantage associated with wedges in a tapered cavity ensures that load is appropriately transferred to the walls of the wedge housing and, as the load increases, the gripping force on the electrical cable increases. In this manner, a load applied to the electrical cable is at least partially provided to the walls of the system rather than acting to pull the cable out of the adaptor, and the object to which the adaptor is connected, such as a terminal block.
LOW PROFILE WATERTIGHT CONNECTOR AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A connector adapted to secure an electrical power line entering an electrical meter box comprises (a) a cylindrical member adapted to be at least partially inserted into the meter box through an access hole, (b) a flange affixed to or integral with a first end of the cylindrical member and (c) a cylindrical grommet selectively insertable at least partially into a second end of the cylindrical member and securable therein. The flange remains outside of the meter box and abuts an outer surface of the wall of the meter box or abuts a gasket sandwiched between the flange and the outer surface of the wall of the meter box. The cylindrical member, the flange, and the grommet all have aligned through-holes through which the power line passes as the power line enters the meter box.
Tool-less service cable connector and corresponding systems and methods
A system includes a housing (105) that includes one or more ports (113) through which electrical connections to one or more electronic components situated within the housing can be made from exterior of the housing. At least one enclosure bushing (204) is coupled to at least one port. The enclosure bushing includes a cylindrical service jacket receiver (207) defining a lumen (208), a flange (212) abutting a portion of the housing, and one or more lugs (216,217,302,303) extending from a portion of the cylindrical service jacket receiver. A coupling nut (205) having one or more circumferential lug receivers (702,703,704,805) applies a compression force to the frustoconical weather gasket when the one or more lugs engaging the locking notch (708) of the one or more circumferential lug receivers.
Bushing and cable gland including bushing
A cable gland includes a bushing. The bushing may include a rib on an interior surface of the bushing to facilitate sealing and gripping of a cable received in the cable gland. The bushing may comprise or be formed from a silicone rubber material.
CABLE GLAND
A cable gland is provided which has an elongate body having an entrance end and a fitting end with a passage extending therebetween. A locating member having a flange which operatively abuts the entrance end of the body is provided. A clamping assembly is securable to the entrance end of the body through a coupler, and includes a tubular member having a clamping end and a free end with a bore extending between them. The clamping end provides a clamping surface complementary to the flange of the locating member such that cable armour can be secured between the clamping surface and the flange, both of which extend in a radial direction, generally normal to the axes of the passage and the bore.
Load-bearing connector connection
A load-bearing connector connection includes two half-flanges encapsulated in a coupling body extending from a first end to a second end. The two assembled half-flanges cover the end of a cable having a plurality of plugs and a helical armor. The two half-flanges include on the inner face thereof a part of the threading engaging with the threading of the helical armor. A locking ring is positioned at the level of a plug housing adjacent to the first end of the coupling body. The coupling body is screwed to the plug housing. The second end of the coupling body is adjacent to a coupling nut. The coupling nut traverses the cable and is assembled with the coupling body by screwing.
System and method for sealing wires, cables, pipes and drain holes through buffer
A sealing set may be used for sealing and draining a liquid and may comprise a check valve and a mating press unit. When the check valve and the mating press unit may be separated, the check valve may be sealed and may prevent flow of liquid or gas from the first end to the second opening, and when the mating press may be pressed against the check valve so that the third end is inserted into the second end, a flow of liquid or gas may be opened between the two ends. The check valve may comprise a hollow elongated cylinder; a sealing gasket; and a mass and a pressing means configured to press the mass against the sealing gasket for sealing an end. The press unit may comprise a second hollow elongated cylinder and may include one or more holes on the third end perimeter.
HYGIENIC ELECTRICAL FITTING
A liquid-tight fitting includes a connector, a seal, and a fastener member. The connector has a first and a second end, a shoulder located between the first and second ends, and a segment that extends from the shoulder to the first end. The segment has an outer surface. The seal has an inner surface in contact with the outer surface of the segment, an outer edge, and first and second seal ends joining the inner surface and the outer edge. The seal surrounds a portion of the segment such that the first seal end abuts against the shoulder. The fastener member is moveably secured to the first end of the connector, and has an end that engages the second seal end to cause the seal to compress between the shoulder and the fastener member. The seal member is adapted to deform toward the segment when compressed.
